Why are we so safe?

Yemen is trying very hard to outdo us in the number of gun homicides.  How much longer can we still be Number One?

Seems hard to get comparative data from earlier than 1970.

Also seems like the US has been very steady for the past twenty years.

You cannot just quote intentional homicides: that is a copout: you also must include the gun deaths that happen when little Joey shoots his mom or when little Bobby shoots the neighbor's kids.

There is no reason to call you, ever.  You are helpless to do anything. We are all helpless, because the guns are there and they outlive the people who bought them and some of them will end up being used to shoot someone. There is no solution. There is a huge turd in the punchbowl and it is all over for those who liked to drink the punch.

And exponentially more of them also end up being used to save far more lives than those taken.  At least in this country.  Can't speak for Yemen

Again. that is idiotic. If there were fewer guns, there would be fewer people shot.

Again...that is a fact.  Your scenario might exist in vacuum, but in real life, the one that exists here in America, where we have the god given right to defend ourselves with a firearm, more lives are SAVED with that firearm, than those taken

God gave you the right to carry a gun? You really believe that?  In what chapter and verse is that in the Bible. God has nothing whatever to do with your stupid guns, and has never commented on guns at all. And all that CRAP about all the people saved with guns...that is just bullshit. The Japanese are not armed and 5they have a tiny fraction of people shot. The same is true of  most other civilized countries.

Yea.....and the freedom of speech, and the freedom to assemble, etc., etc., etc.  God has everything to do with the moral compass this country began with, and was a fixture within the construction of our Constitution.  Not to mention we're not Japan....or any other country for that matter.  We're America, we have a Constitution, and we have the right to carry firearms, just as much a right as you have to spew your nonsense.

So you can stick your head in the sand of the mountain of facts that trump your prescious anti-2nd amendment talking points, hold your breath, until you turn blue, and pretend those facts don't exist.  It doesn't make them go away, it simply keeps you pathologically ignorant, of current reality in this country

God does not have ONE FUCKING THING to do with owning guns.

There is more of a God-given right to fuck chickens than  to own guns... God at least provides chickens with holes in them. Not even morons claim that God provide guns.

Dr Deflection strikes again.   Never said or even implied that God "provides" guns, or any man made weapons for that matter.      ::)

What does "god-given" mean, then?

That you are fond of trite phrases?

That you do not think before you type crap?

That'd be a God given right, not a God given gun.  But cudos on the knee jerk deflection attempts.   Can always tell when your cabinets are empty, when they become so plentiful.   ;D

Then you think God gives Americans the RIGHT to own guns? Is that it?

Is this in the Bible, or did The Voices tell you?

Why do you suppose he does not pick everyone?
