I understand how very much you detest Muslims, but the most incompetent person here was whoever hired this guy. If he had the record and medical history described, he should have been washing the cars  or working elsewhere, not driving.

Capitalists can usually be counted on to prefer people who work for cheap rather than people who are competent.

And there are enough of them that they threaten world peace.
My 2 best employees are Muslims. Very hard, dedicated workers.
I am proud to have such great individuals on our team.
One of them is also a personal friend I have vacationed in Colorado with.

Capitalist that hire incompetent employees can face severe free market repercussions.
I can not afford to "hire cheap incompetent people" or I will lose market share.

The VA pays rather poorly, I have heard. Guess what party is always trying to cut costs  and taxes.

Government management works poorly when Republicans are managing the government.

Glad you agree that the real blame lies with the fool who hired this driver. It is possible that the driver had a stroke or something, but with those license suspensions and a bad arm, I do not see why anyone sane would hire him for that job.

Free market capitalism is far from perfect, but tends to produce the highest UN Human Development Index countries.
So basically free market capitalism is better than anything else....
You get a lot more shitty results in countries where the gvt controls everything.

If the goal is to attract better doctors to the VA, then they should pay enough to hire them. That is the point.
It is stupid to complain that the government runs the VA poorly (which is only occasionally true) and then to pay their doctors so little all they can do is attract those no one else would hire.

There is a difference between efficient management and just being cheap. Everyone knows this.
The moral of the story is if you have a government program, do NOT expect it to work if you have Republicans running it.

Foster child care, many charter schools and prisons that are run by private contractors here in Florida are horrible, thanks to Rick Scott and the FL legalature.
