I'd still prefer someone with executive and/or private sector experience.  More the former than the latter.  Someone who knows how to make tough decisions, and work within a budget......like the rest of us have to

Ted Cruz is an expert only at being annoying.
Just what we have never needed as a president.

Annoying to liberals, socialists, and those who care little for our Constitutional form of government & spending other people's money perhaps.

Can anyone even IMAGINE a Western movie in which Ted Cruz gets to wear the white hat?

He is clearly the guy in the satin shirt and the cigarillo that presides over the crooked poker game in the corner.
In most Westers, such a guy does not make it past Scene 5.

Ted Cruz is my first choice...
because he is what I call Reagan-esque
the Dems & the Repub establishment hated Reagan just like they now BOTH hate the CruzMissile.
only time will tell if he has what it takes like Reagan

He has a lot of charm, but I would rather vote for Carson, who would be one of the smartest and most appropriately educated candidate ever.

I really like Dr. Carson...but don't know how he stands on a lot of issues.
But that's what the primaries are for...right?

Plus I just think it would be virtually impossible to get elected President of the United States
and to have never held a single elective office. Of course I actually see it as a plus
to have never held office....but I think it's a huge long-shot to think it could happen.

Never having held office might get him some votes in the general election, but it almost certainly eliminates him from getting the nomination, Just one Uz becki becki stan quote and it would be over for him. And of course, his opponents will be investigation possible affairs and  drug "abuse".

Carson has made some really extreme statements also.

Cruz might have one chance in 20. I'd say Carson would be more like one in 300.

You might be right about the response of the establishment, you might be right about the odds.

But you can't dispute what I like.

I do like Ted Cruz, sorta second.

His being a Hispanic citizen of Canada until two years ago makes him all the more appealing.

Cruz is not actually a Hispanic, he is a Cuban, and Cubans are NOT seen as legitimate members of the Hispanic community. They are seen rather as a bunch of mama's boys who were brought here and given special treatment for political reasons.  Poor Mexicans in the Rio Grande Valley are NOT gonna vote for this lame peckerwood because his name ends in a Z.

The GOP oligarchy will tout him as a Hispanic as they did Mel Martinez, who they actually made some sort of puppet leader of the GOP.  Of course, when he was of no more use to them them they stripped him of the title and forced him out of the Senate.

Although Cruz wouldn't be my 1st choice, while Obama was the anti-Bush, Cruz would definitely be the anti-Obama
