FDR clearly belonged to the 1%, but he did more for the other 99% than most, if not all presidents in history. The issue is not what social class Hillary might belong to, but that she will act on behalf of the average citizen if elected. I think the presidential salary and the perks that come with it automatically put every president and her/ his family in the top 1%.
This is a stupid argument and a non-issue,
I think is is almost a sure thing that the various GOP candidates will engage in negative campaigns against the rest, because, lamentably, more people vote AGAINST than vote FOR any politician in this country. That is because of the nature of the media: they always want a sensational story, and positive stories are not by nature sensational.
Harpers Index, said the following:
"Percentage of Americans and Chinese who believe that their government 'is on the side of the average civilian': 12, 80."
So 80% of Chinese think their government is on their side, while only 12% of Americans believe this.
China has four times the population and the press reports much less on corruption and graft there, so it might make sense if these figures were reversed.
