In the youtube clip you showed, that is what is wrong with no gun control. Every lunatic can be armed.

oh btw....nice change of subject
if you are correct and "every lunatic can be armed"
then the police...the topic of this thread...
must make split second decisions
they don't have the luxury of 20/20 hind-site
the police don't know who is a lunatic and armed or not
the police are thrown into fast moving situations
that is reality...not some gun control that you want in the future

If there were proper gun control, our police would be safer because homicidal maniacs like the one you showed would not be armed.

Everyone knows this is true, including the police, except gun nuts that want EVERYBODY to be armed, with the lie that we are all =safer the more people have guns.

This is not a change of subject. The subject is the safety of the entire society.

I know that the NRA will continue to fight for the right of gun manufacturers to arm everyone including homicidal maniacs.
The folks that sell bullets know that the more guns there are, the more ammo they will sell.

you are making no sense XO
on one hand you say there are crazy lunatics ("homicidal maniacs") on the loose with guns
but then you expect the cops to play nice and not expect the worst?

how was the cop in McKinney to know in a split second the 2 guys
rushing up to him in a very volatile situation were good guys or bad guys?

you have hind-site to inform you they were "just a couple of guys".
the police officer was entering an unknown volatile situation
the police officer did not have the luxury of hind-site....
in a split second the officer being outnumbered was obviously in some fear of injury or worse.

The McKinney officer regrets the incident, but viewed the teens as "possible suspects".

Again he did not have 20/20 hind-site to rely on.

do you have no empathy for what police officers face everyday
and how difficult their jobs are? The officer you hate and call
a "Fascist" had already responded to two suicide calls right
before the pool party violence. One of the suicides involved
an African American man that had shot himself in the head
in front of his family. Officer Casebolt spent a considerable
amount of time consoling the man's now grieving widow.

Yeah right, you never know what a 14 year old girl in a bikini might do. All she was doing was yelling at this dolt.

Now Casebolt is out of service.  Perhaps he can find work comforting grieving widows in a funeral home. There, there.

The fact is that Casebolt was an asshole. If he cannot take getting yelled at by a teenager, then he has no business on any police force.

Now imagine that the girl is a 14 year old blonde taylor Swift lookalike and tell me that the same thing would have happened.

You are defending a fool.

This doesn't seem to be true.

In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is king.

In the kingdom of the disarmed , the criminal that can come up with an  half effective weapon will be king.

If you made the law ever so strict, would guns be harder to smuggle than drugs have been?

Proper gun control might be more widespread education on proper gun etiquette and safety, along with subsidies that would ensure the availability of guns to all citizens in good standing.

Indeed it has been demonstrated here that increases in gun ownership in the general public do not prevent declines in crime.

Where has it been demonstrated that  greater restriction on gun ownership has prevented crime?
Chicago?

Don't start on Australia, their low and declining crime rate continued to be low and declined some more as if they had done nothing.

==========================================
It has prevented people from being killed by guns in every country in Western Europe and Japan that has enacted reasonable gun laws.
Hawaii is really the only state in the US in which it is fairly easy to prevent guns from being brought in from some other state, and Hawaii has a much lower rate of gun deaths.

Finally saw this infamous video.  Here I was hoping it was as it was being reported, but surprise, nope.  I tell yas, the ignorance of folks, about what it is to be a police officer staggers me.  These officers, like firemen, are the ones routinely rushing into a dangerous situation, while others are running out.  shall we count the number of executions of police officers, coming from a routine traffic stop??  Yes, officers make mistakes, officers can and have used excessive force, but that doesn't make it a universal standard.  The vast majority of police officers, just like the vast majority of teachers, are outstanding at their job.

As C was trying to educate our "professor", police officers don't have the power of hindsight.  They have to assume EVERY situation is potentially dangerous....otherwise they wouldn't have been called.  This woman, thanks to today's proverbial culture of flaunting authority, was making herself out to be a idiot & ass, all rolled into one bikini.  YOU COMPLY WITH AN OFFICER'S INSTRUCTIONS.....PERIOD.  You can get all mad and even sue, later, but her actions, literally escalated the situation, in which other guys started to charge the officer, which then prompted him to pull his weapon.

Thank you Obama, thank you Holder, and thank you Sharpton, for bringing us to this level of disrepecting authority.  I hope you guys can live with the blood of the next tragic accident that would have never come to be, if people would simply comply with an officer's instructions      >:(

Disregarding a Police Officer's instructions, is pretty much the polar opposite of morality.  Especially when you witness how this particular bikini clad idiot, acted.  Not to mention that this incident had squat to do with religion

There was NO reason to throw this girl down on the ground. She was clearly unarmed. and all she was doing was badmouthing this stupid cop. There was no reason for the cop to cuss at her. Police are supposed to have better manners than the people they serve.

Casebolt is no linger on the force. My guess is that he will not be working as a cop after this.

Maybe there is a position open for a cop in the Idaho Panhandle or central Wyoming.

Even the cop knows he screwed up, and there you are still defending this bully.

TO PROTECT AND TO SERVE is not the same thing as TO THREATEN, CUSS OUT AND BULLY.

HE WOULDN'T HAVE THROWN ANYONE TO THE GROUND HAD SHE COMPLIED WITH THE OFFICERS' INSTRUCTIONS, AND NOTHING WOULD HAVE ESCALATED

Under no circumstances was there any reason for the cop to treat a 14 year old girl as this asshole did.
No teacher would be permitted to do this any school.
A parent who did this in the Wal*Mart parking lot would be arrested for doing it.

She was unarmed and no threat to Ex-Officer Asshole. His own police chief said the same thing, and rightfully so.

I am glad this sumbitch is no longer running about bullying people with his badge and gun.

Good riddance to bad rubbish!

There was NO reason to throw this girl down on the ground.

what would you specifically do with an uncooperative person that is not following
repeated clear and easy to follow police instructions during a police emergency situation?

would you say "perdi please with sugar on top"?
