But....but....the officer clearly was out of control....and had to be a racist.  I mean, the person is dead, he's black, and the officer isn't, so....what other conclusion could it be?

imagine that: death by flagpole. NOT.

If the cops keep killing Black people like this, you might not have to buy your third or fourth gun.

You seriously don't think you could be impaled by the point of a pole??

You've got issues

It is possible that a person might become impaled on a flagpole, but very unlikely. This particular flagpole broke, which made each piece of it less deadly.

This sort of stuff has been going on for a really long time, but now there are so many  cameras and smartphones that can take movies  that such incidents have become regular features on "News at Eleven".

This guy was drunk as well as foolish.

Ummm....NOT....broken pieces have even sharper more jagged ends, making it that much more dangerous....and POTENTIALLY DEADLY

White people get killed more than black people is the very reason feguson riot got that big and why the subject of police brutality is still relevant. Doesn't this also means complying is not exactly very effective.

im not saying we shouldn't be complying but we still got the issue that the citizens required to fear officers. In all these talks i dont recall anyone saying we shouldn't fear them.

Complying is 99% effective at preventing any tragic accidents or unnecessary shootings/killings

Never thought it necessary, but if it appeases anyone, in generaly we shouldn't fear Police Officers

I did mention in another post in san jose the police used to kill vietnamese people and the response was the community would avoid all police officers as much as posdible. It took a concerted effort from the police to finally gain trust.

Does this mean as a safety precaution we should avoid the police. Complying only means the police are still not safe to be around.

I can't speak for anyone but myself Kimba.  I have no fear of the police.  No one should fear the police.  If someone knows a "bad cop", that could be someone to fear.  But in general, there's no need to fear the police.  Comply with an officer's instructions, and all should be well.  I have a CCW.  One time I was pulled over by the Highway Patrol....I believe it was an expired tag.  When the officer approached, I kept both hands on the steering wheel, and told the officer very clearly I have a CCW permit, and was currently carrying a weapon.  He was respectful, gave me a warning to get my tags taken care of, and ..... that was it

You do, whatever it is you think you need to do.  Personally I'm not going to actively avoid any police, as I have no fear of them.  I actually prefer more of them around

well, if i see a whole mess of them in one spot i will avoid them since i dont want risk being mistaken for whoever they are looking for. I think i mention this 90% of all look outs for someone in a asain related crime with a sketch. I'll admit the picture looklike me. Lets just say i have common asian criminal features. I have been detained by tsa a few times. It's likely why i been so goid in security. Nobody wants to misbehave when im on duty.

Lets just say if i ever decide to do movies the only role will be henchmen or something crime related

That's always a possibility.  And if they see you, simply comply, and let them sort it out.  You may get inconvienced, even possibly handcuffed, if they have a description that happens to fit you, but you get released, and no one gets hurt.  The common denominator is complying with an officer's instructions

No one gets hurt. If it gets as far as handcuffs i'm not sure thats as exactly true anymore. When it gets that far isn't the best interest of the officer to make sure they get a arrest when it goes this far. Its like a point of no return type of deal. You cant say they use handcuffs for anything.
