Ooops...there goes so called man-made "Global Warming"

Is a mini ICE AGE on the way?
Scientists warn the sun will "go to sleep" in 2030 and could cause temperatures to plummet
New study claims to have cracked predicting solar cycles
Says that between 2030 and 2040 solar cycles will cancel each other out
Could lead to "Maunder minimum" effect that saw River Thames freeze over

This can only be avoided by burning MORE hydrocarbons, I bet.

The fact is that the climate has changed and will continue to do so. Anything that will prevent Big Oil and Big Coal from peddling their products will be heralded as the coming of a New Age of Doing Nothing, anything to keep their profits a-rolling in. They are olny interested in not cleaning up their messes, and you are a dupe if you believe otherwise.

Are these scientists connected to fossil fuel companies?

Being paid shills kinda spoils credibility.

      Ask Al Gore about that.

Is Al Gore bought off by big Oil?

How does badmouthing Al Gore prevent CO2 from changing the climate?

Al Gore is big oil, did you think his fortune was a gift from a Genie?

Al Gore flies jets all over the world to tell people that they must conserve and buy plots of rainforest.

The fact is that the climate has changed and will continue to do so.

Exactly!
The climate has changed for millions of years and will continue to do so.

By testing ice cores in Greenland, scientists can look back at environmental data from millennia past......................

Methane gas has impacted our atmosphere since the Romans.

By  Joseph Stromberg

 Smithsonian Magazine
 February 2013

Before the Industrial Revolution, our planet’s atmosphere was still untainted by human-made pollutants. At least, that’s what scientists thought until recently, when bubbles trapped in Greenland’s ice revealed that we began emitting greenhouse gases at least 2,000 years ago

...........................
The researchers did find that methane concentrations went up—but not in step with warm periods. “The changes we observed must have been coming from something else,” Sapart says.

That “something else” turned out to be human activity, notably metallurgy and large-scale agriculture starting around 100 B.C. The ancient Romans kept domesticated livestock—cows, sheep and goats—which excrete methane gas, a byproduct of digestion. Around the same time, in China, the Han dynasty expanded its rice fields, which harbor methane-producing bacteria. Also, blacksmiths in both empires produced methane gas when they burned wood to fashion metal weapons. After those civilizations declined, emissions briefly decreased.

Then, as human population and land use for agriculture increased worldwide over the centuries, atmospheric methane slowly climbed....

Since agriculture is a major contributor, the simple solution presents itself , we can quit eating agricultural products.

It does not depend on all agriculture, but on eating meat.  Meat is not the only source of protein.

Human activity can alter the CO2 content of the atmosphere and that causes changes in the climate.
The opposition to doing something to affect the climate beneficially is nearly all from a tiny minority of people involved in the coal and oil industries, and based on their desire for higher profits next quarter. Many of their lawyers formerly represented Big Tobacco.

That does not describe me , but I was contrary to the Kyoto agreement because it was highly expensive and lowly effective.

The truth is not so much inconvenient as it is incomplete.

Reducing the US carbon footprint to zero would have almost no effect on the problem.

China building dozens of Nuclear power plants is more like effective on this problem, and they are doing this without any goading from Kyoto.
China is going to have other long term problems from this , but the reduction in their potential greenhouse contribution is real.
