I agree that race is unscientific , there has been a lot of effort made to document scientific differences, but everything devolved to a matter of taste in the end.

I found a lot to agree with, till I got to where it said that colorblindness will not cure .


 I think this is poorly considered .

Moving advantages back and forth between the races , however well intentioned , requires the preservation of the borders and the definitions of the races.

That does not reflect reality as I see it.

This article deals with race in the US. It does not deal with borders.

In the Dominican Republic, race is not mentioned on any legal document, although the official ID card, the Cédula, does have a full color photo.
In the DR, race is not seen as a political thing. There is no such thing as the "Black Vote", the "White Vote" or the""Mulatto Vote" It is something like eye color in the US, except for the fact that there are a lot of illegal Haitians in the DR, most of them darker than most Dominicans.

You do not hear any politicians  or citizens talking about how they plan to benefit this group more or that group more.  They do discuss regions, though, as some provinces are much more wealthy than others. This is because they are closer to the capital and/or have better tourist sites.

Actually very few things require people to identify race in this country. On an application if it ask then it's highly likely due to federal funding has bedn received by that business but other than that likely nothing else.

I have not filled out a job application in 40 years, so I do not know what they put on them these days.

People call me about surveys and they ask about race. I do online surveys and they do the same.

I can;t say I always tell the truth, but I always provide an answer.

From recent articles ive read that as an asian it's advantageous for me to check caucasian and claim confused if asked.
