I think people who break the law, whether running a stop sign or not signalling a lane change, deserve to be cited. Those who escalate the situation by not complying with the police deserve stiffer penalties, up to and including those who resist arrest or commit a felonious assault on an officer, who deserve to be arrested and hauled off to the hoosegow. If they can't make bail, they can sit there until trial. If they get depressed or despondent, maybe they'll think twice about their actions next time. Other than the fact she was arrested and was in jail when she died, THE FACTS ARE NOT ALL IN YET, yet X stands by ready and willing to blow it all up into some grand police conspiracy to kill this woman. Sandra Bland may have 'also been right', but she was dead wrong in the way she handled the situation that got her thrown into jail to start with. She could scream and cry and boo hoo all she wanted about being the aggrieved black woman, but she crossed a line that got her arrested. As for what happened in jail, I'm happy to wait for the final report, rather than jump to conclusions.
