These women make no sense at all. But then, neither does Trump.

Historical precedents:
In 1844, Joseph Smith, the Mormon Prophet predicted that he would be elected president.

Joseph Smith, mayor of Nauvoo, Illinois, and founder of the Latter Day Saint movement, ran as an independent. He proposed the redemption of slaves by selling public lands and decreasing the size and salary of Congress; the closure of prisons; the annexation of Texas, Oregon, and parts of Canada; the securing of international rights on high seas; free trade; and the re-establishment of a national bank.[129] His top aide Brigham Young campaigned for Smith saying, "He it is that God of Heaven designs to save this nation from destruction and preserve the Constitution."[130] The campaign ended when he was attacked and killed by a mob while in the Carthage, IL jail on June 27, 1844.[131]

Democratic-Republican ExPresident Tyler, Whig Speaker Henry Clay and Democrat James Polk also ran, and Polk won.
Liberty Party candidate James Birney also ran.

Polk was elected and served for one term and refused to run again.

Smith, being deceased, has no real impact.

Next we will have a chorus line of chickens campaigning for Colonel Saunders.

The "apple cart"...."we've always done it this way" crowd sure doesn't like the boat rocked.

Interesting that 3 of the debate winners Carson, Trump, Fiorina all are non-politicians.

That's a huge plus in my book!

This country would be better off with less career politicians that all know lobbyist on a first name basis...new blood is good.

As I recall, "I am not a politician" was the slogan used by Jimmy Carter when he ran for Governor of Georgia.

When Trump has a problem with Congress, He cannot tell Congress "You're fired!": and make them all go away. He cannot tell the Supreme Court "You're fired!" either.
Every trait that the most skilled president in our history, LBJ had, Trump lacks. He deliberately insults and offends people just for the hell of it, he takes every criticism as a personal insult and feels obliged to avenge it, he throws tantrums that go on for weeks and weeks.

Meagan Kelly's questions of him were entirely appropriate and would have been asked of any candidate in the same circumstances. The insults he aimed at her were NPOT the sort that will endear any woman to his sorry rude ass.

There have been fewer men who wanted to be president as eminently unqualified as The Donald.
Fiorina was a loser. Carson also likes to say stupid shit, but they are not so awful as Trump.
Any of them would be a disaster as president.

No but his appeal is that he will fight trench warfare just like the Democrats do and Republicans wont.
We are tired of having power and not using it....
Mitch McConnell and John Boehner are lame ass cave-in afraid to fight wussies.
Trump punches back.....he would fight just as down and dirty as the Taxocrats.
And that is exactly why he is so popular....
It's gotten so bad that Republicans that support Trump do so in part because at least we think he will punch back.
Sometimes you need a bully...sometime you need an "asshole" to go to battle with other bigger assholes.
That is honestly Trumps appeal....we know the establishment...the press... the elected dems...the elected Repubs hate him.
We love that the corrupt hate him.

Trump rarely throws the first punch.. .but unlike most Republicans he PUNCHES BACK!

Meagan Kelly's questions of him were entirely appropriate and would have been asked of any candidate in the same circumstances.

Megyn Kelly's question was ridiculously lame and obviously super biased not giving full story.

I mean really?

Can't anyone with a brain realize that some insult Trump said in response
to Rosie first insulting him years ago on some TV show is really not among the
most pressing issues facing our country with trillion dollar deficit issues,
high unemployment, decaying infrastructure, threats from ISIS, crime/racial tensions,
and chaos at the border?

With all the above problems and many more....we concentrate on some bullshit
tit for tat drama argument between Rosie and Trump years ago...where Rosie
threw first punch and insulted Mr. Trump about his physical appearance first?

It's typical of the press to try and focus the public's attention on bullshit instead of real issues.

Trump "fighting back" looks to civilized people like Trump asking like a spoiled seventh-grader.   This last debate was not moslty about who would make a good president: it was who would make the presumably best REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE, and that means getting Republicans voting in the primaries to vote for each candidate. Now take your time and consider this: half or slightly more than half of the voters in those primaries are WOMEN.  Women do not want a woman-hater in the White House with his Slavic third (or is it fourth?) wife as First Lady, accusing Angela Merkle and other female leaders of not liking him because they are having their periods and looking ugly and fat. Even if they are old, ugly and fat. ESPECIALLY if they are old, ugly and fat, just as The Donald does not like those dumb jokes about his weird combover and his always confrontational style.

If Trump is going to win the nomination, he will need to get the votes of women. And if even Megan Kelly does not like his way with women -(after all, she is paid to beat the drum for the right wing), then what are his chances with women who are NOT paid to be on his side?

It is not true that he does not throw the first punch. He accused Mexico of deliberately sending rapists into this county. He deliberately said "China is breaking our hearts" by taking American jobs. No matter that Trump himself has his stupid neckties sewn in China? He can't pay Americans to sew neckties that retail for over $50 and make a profit?  There is only one thing that Donal Trump respects, and it is NOT this country. It is only his only rude, boorish self.

It is not true that he does not throw the first punch.

I didn't say he never threw the first punch, I said he rarely throws the first punch.
Trump is primarily a counter-puncher.
People are not used to seeing the entrenched media, politicians, power elite get punched back.
People are used to watching Republicans "cave" when they get attacked....Trump punches back.
McCain calls 15,000 Arizonans "crazies"....that's not very nice...so Trump punches back.
Everybody assumed when the media and entrenched were typically "outraged" so Trump would be done.
NOPE!
This guy punches back and more and more people appreciated him telling the entrenched powers he doesn't care what they think.

I watched Meet The Press Sunday....5 panelist and host Chuck Todd
lets see...ummm? what was the "balance of the panel"?
every single one including Chuck Todd ooozed with Trump hate.
it was painfully obvious
i would love to ask Chuck Todd...."are you that big of a wussie?...
you have to have 5 people and yourself discussing Trump without a single Trump supporter?
that's fair journalism? that reflects reality?....yeah sure...maybe "Washington warped reality"
But again that's why Trump is surging...exactly because of what we saw on Meet The Press.
Exactly because the entrenched arrogant elitist in Washington don't like this guy that doesnt play by their rules.

He accused Mexico of deliberately sending rapists into this county.

Mexico doesn't allow people to illegally stay in their country,
but they allow tons of people to cross thru on their way to the US.
Mexico likes that millions of their poor uneducated sneak into the US and wire millions back home.
Mexico isn't exporting Mexican doctors, Mexican lawyers, Mexican engineers, Mexican dentists.
Mexico is primarily looking the other way while millions of their poor uneducated and yes criminals flee.
Basically Mexico is getting rid of a "problem"....dumping a "problem" on us!

He deliberately said "China is breaking our hearts" by taking American jobs.

Chinese products fill our stores....and those products used to be made by Americans
Of course a lot of Americans had their dreams shattered...lost their homes, their livelihood...and hearts broken
I know a guy that works for Lone Star Steel...he just got layed off because China is dumping slave labor steel.

And Trump COULD have his neckties made in the US, but he does not.
They are sold at inflated prices and they are made in China.

If China is breaking our hearts, then TRUMP is their accomplice.

I really doubt that the wages paid by a Chinese steel company are "slave labor".

I have a Taiwanese friend who married a mainlander. Her parents worked until age 50. He was an office worker, not a Party mamber, she worked in a factory, They have TWO daughters and retired at age FIFTY. They own their own apartment and they come for a visit once each year and pay all their expenses. Recently, they bought their daughter a two year old Odyssey van. For cash.

Possibly the Chinese just make better steel, or make it more efficiently. Or maybe they pay kickbacks to their buyer's execs.

So the Chinese are NOT paid "slave labor wages".  People who live in the coastal cities are paid well and live well in the People's Republic, it seems.

So the Chinese are NOT paid "slave labor wages".

"My daughter's monthly salary is only 2,000 yuan (about U.S. $330) and
she has been working for more than 10 years," said the worker, who like his colleagues, spoke on condition of anonymity"

http://www.rfa.org/english/news/china/strike-02092015173158.html

Starting in April, the minimum wage for workers in Shanghai will rise to $293 per month (1,820 Chinese yuan), the highest in mainland China.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/china-increases-minimum-wage-rates/

XO.....my buddy at Lone Star Steel was making more than $293 or $330 a month!

$330 a month is not "slave labor wages", not by world standards. In Bangladesh, this would be about $3 a day, or $680 a month. She is also probably given room and board as a part of her compensation. You are comparing the pay of a peasant girl in some Pearl River Delta factory with a man working in a steel mill. I am sure that an American steel worker makes more in Texas than in China, but it is not what anyone would call "slave labor wages". One of the main costs that Americans pay vastly more for than Chinese is housing. $200 a month, vs $1500- 2000 a month.

And if your hero Donald Trump needed steel, I am pretty sure he would be buying it from China. I was pointing out that The Donald is a lying hypocrite. But you exaggerate the situation because you do not have any facts.

I bet all your Republican senators and Representatives are 100% in favor of the trade agreements between the US and China. And you would be too, if the American worker belonged to a  (gasp!) union!

$330 a month is not "slave labor wages"

are you really that big of an idiot?
you constantly make the argument about semantics vs the real point
China is a poor 3rd world country whose economy is headed for the shitter
are there worse places?...well duh...oh that's soooo redeeming...that there must be someplace worse...lol
but ok...whatever the fuck you say....oh boy lets not call it "slave labor" then  ::)
but OMG if I proposed a $330 month wage here you'd be up in arms!

Chinese per capita income is still a fraction of that in advanced countries
82 million Chinese live in extreme poverty and try to subsist on less than $1 a day...do the math...$365 a year!
but you say compared to many parts of the world $330 a month isn't that bad...ok lets have a party and rejoice $330!
but again even if that were true it isn't the point....
I don't care if poor Chinese workers at $330 a month put a poor worker in Thailand out of work
I do care if Chinese workers @ $330 a month put a US worker out of work and close our steel plants down.

Then you should not be rooting for Donald Trump, who has Chinese making his neckties. Trump is not, as you maintain, the solution, he is part of the problem.

THAT is the point I was making.

China has had the highest rate of increase in its economy in the entire history of the human race for the past 25 years. The problem is that it cannot keep up the high rate of increase forever. A 5% rate is more than the US has managed in a long time, in China it is a decease. Part of China is indeed a Third World country, but the industrial cities of the coast are not. It is probably not a good time to invest in China. But the standard of living in China has been improving very rapidly over the last generation. At no time has the US come close to such an increase. And China has fought no wars to do this. As a rule, US surges in economic growth have followed wars.

We still have people who do not get enough to eat in this country, by the way.

Not really any more than you and I and Joe Public except of a different scale.
Me, you, and Joe Public buy lots of "slave labor" goods from China and else-where.
We could choose more expensive US Made products.
I will sometimes do that, but not always.
So Trump and Consumers are both at fault....but so are the deals we make that allow such non-sense.
Our trade deals and trade laws need to be super Pro-American.
Trump has stated he will change that....and stop the one way deals.

Yeah, really.  Trump has his stupid neckties made in China because he makes more profit that way.
He then claims that somehow the Chinese are "unfair" to sell their goods at such a low price.
That is nothing but  goddamn hypocrisy  on his part.
Most often, I cannot buy anything but Chinese made products. Stores do not sell American made silverware, clothespins, light bulbs and often not even garlic.
Trump can have his goddamned $50 retail neckties in the USA and still make a HUGE profit.

Trump will not be elected president, but if he were, he would be a disaster. He insults everyone, He gets along with no one. He blathers on about issues of no importance, like Megyn Kelly "bleeding from somewhere" The guy is a world class dick, and a miserable excuse for a human being.
