Why is the ability of answering "gotcha questions" NOT a useful way to judge a candidate?

We have a total  right to watch them handle the heat before we put them in the kitchen.

A stupid remark by an American president can cause a lot of problems. We need to know how candidates can avoid stupid remarks. Trump and car are not excelling at this.

it certainly is if it is in a balanced manner....but one party gets tons of "gotchas" and the other not so much.
how many "gotcha's" has Bernie Sanders had? Where are the major headlines about those?
Where are the headlines that the 2nd leader in the Dem Primary is not even in the Dem Party?
Can you imagine if a major candidate in Rep Primary was not even in the Party?
That's all we'd be hearing about....how that must mean the Repubs are fractured....blah blah bullshit
Funny how no major controversies with Bernie...but lots with Republicans....funny how that seems to work..uh?
Hillary gets "how do like being a new grandmother?"and/or only very scripted events or no access at all
it presents a false narrative to the public...it's fantasy-land

Did anyone see the latest 2 "interviews" that Clinton had?  LOL.  They weren't softball questions, they were literally marshmallows.  "Mrs Clinton, do you really consider yourself a feminist?"

Most Muslim groups do not support Sharia Law. The Nation of Islam does not. I have yet to hear of them executing any gays.

Sharia not strictly followed anywhere, but is most closely followed in Saudi Arabia,  and parts if Oman, Pakistan and Yemen. The Afghan Taliban claims to support it.

Most of the Muslim world does not follow Sharia law. Parts of it are from the Koran, other parts are from the Hadith. There are four schools of Sharia law.

That is a good point, do you have an example of a candidate you like doing this well?

So you would not like a President Biden?

Is Sharia law less a problem than Communism?
===========================================

There is no chance whatever that the US will elect a Communist or anyone who wants to impose Sharia Law in the US.

There is no chance that the US will be overrun by any Communist or Muslim country.

It is a DUMB QUESTION. Shall I nosh the nightshade or chew the cyanide?

Biden is many, many times smarter than Trump.
