The military is a government agency.

If it were run so poorly, we would have been invaded long ago.

I do not think that any country has ever taken the Second Amendment into account.

The Army is certainly a better deterrent than a bunch of gun nuts and flakes.

I am an eyewitness.

There is much to contrast between the leadership of Marshall and Eisenhower and the later leadership of Westmorland .

Other militaries are  also government agencies, they are not immune to these same problems.

Being that's pure speculation,  I'd say it's safe to say no country has dared consider invading this country for a myriad of reasons. ... geography, military power, and behind that, an armed citizenry

Yeah right. Putin would have invaded California long ago, but he knew sirs and his arsenal of deadly weapons might make  the invasion fail miserably.

Putin would have never done so, because we would have nuked his ass.  Did you miss the "myriad of reasons"?....including military power??     ::)

That would have been the military that would have nuked Putin's ass.
NOT the National Nuclear Weapon Association.

We depend on a government agency to defend this country, our military, and as a result the country is defended.
We do not depend on the fucking NRA for anything.
All they do is advertise guns to paranoid weapons collectors and a few gun nuts.

Yeppers.   If it came to that, we might lose, but we'd take hundreds of thousands of their forces, in the process.  That in itself would give pause to even try in the 1st place
