We need a government big enough to  protect us from greedheads like this.

This is not a singular issue . It also pretains to the issue of healthcare cost which I repeatedly bring up but though not ignored here is never given attention to the general public.

I acknowledge the anti-vaccine folk sort of address it but approuch by saying big pharma but that just makes them look crazy.

Why can't people use plain talk and say that cost alot of money for something that is massively mass produced these past decades.

The price to the public should be some regular percentage of the price to produce a product. This should be enforced for things like vaccines especially. Doubling the price of vaccines when the cost of producing them has not increased is immoral and should be illegal.

Of course the refining process maybe a factor but the term prohibitive cost should of prevented it to increase to this level

For most vaccines aren't most of the costs in the development phase?

The process that makes some of them should not be more expensive per dose than a beer, but it may take thousands of hours of laboratory time to get to that point.

If we remove the pot of gold , will these companys continue to search for the rainbow?

But then shouldn't that version of the vaccine not get bought? The success we used to experience from vaccine are mostly from previous less cost version of the vaccines. Im not aggainst the development of these vaccines but at these present prices it is will be highly prohibitive due to cost for distribution. Per my posted link

As it is, we have NO IDEA what it costs to create a vaccine.
If the companies were required to post the actual cost per anticipated dosage, then it would be easy to determine a fair price based on the actual cost, including research.

I see hundreds of ads for prescription drugs every week. These are NOT a production cost. They are usually run because there is a far cheaper drug that they wish to compete with that may be even superior.

According to these ads, these advertised drugs have many undesirable side effects, which include death.
