The role of the National Security Adviser has to be national security. Condi Rice FAILED MISERABLY at her job, and then got promoted.

   Was there a person in charge of the World Trade Center sending dozens of e-mails to Condi Rice warning her of the specific danger that came to pass?  Was there a person in charge of the Twin Towers that Condoleezza Rice appointed and installed , then ignored ?


     The Bush Administration did not fail any worse than the Clinton administration. The Twin Towers had been attacked with a bomb already, and several other attacks were serious. But the Clinton administration treated these attacks as crimes rather than acts of war, What the Bush administration did wrong was to not immediately change everything .

What might have helped would have been to streamline the sharing of information between the various law enforcement entities as was done after 9-11 made it plain that the various agencies were  not compiling the clues that could have caught the gang.

But Bush did not do this for the same reason that Clinton did not, the need was not so apparent .

So what Condi Rice did wrong was to not change everything from the way it had been done for years.
