It did not look like any hockey rink. The location resembled the locations where GOP leaders had their cable-TV only debates. And it was more like a debate, rethar than a contest about who could make the most fear-inducing and bellicose remarks. They did not discuss for a second about how it was necessary to shoot down Russian planes over Syria in order to protect the people of this country.

They discussed actual meaningful issues rather than dumb shit like Trump, who blames Obama (not Juniorbush) for pissing away vast fortunes in the Middle East rather than spending them at home on the US, where all our roads and bridges are going to collapse next Thursday, and then saying that  he thinks that Obama is not spending ENOUGH to defeat Isis, which he proposes to do while cutting taxes.

Isn't it odd that the DNC is scheduling debates on nights that typically nobody watches television--their last debate was also on a Saturday. Debates are a good way to show viewers who the candidates are, and it's strange to me that the DNC is apparently trying to do the opposite.

A debate on over the air TV is accessible to more people than  a debate on Cable-only TV.
It did not look like an unsuitable place, and all three candidates debated REAL ISSUES.

None of them advocated shooting down Russian planes over Syria.  None of them advocated making immigrants wait TEN YEARS for a green card.
The Republicans spent most of their last debate talking about fear and danger and how incredibly tough they were going to be.
They all want to balance the budget by lowering taxes. That is just stupid.

It is only stupid if one assumes that there is plenty of untapped reserve and resources not taxed that could be.

Is productivity so near peak that trimming it has no reducing effect?

It is clearly stupid. A Guy like Romney got off with paying 14%. If he were taxed like a worker rather than an investor, he would have paid twice that rate.
