On January 3 Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump used a Facebook post to call out Hillary Clinton's hypocrisy in telling the American people that guns "don't keep you safe" while simultaneously surrounding herself with "heavily armed bodyguards."

On December 19 Breitbart News reported that Clinton reacted to the surge in gun sales that followed the San Bernardino terror attack by saying, "Guns, in and of themselves will not make Americans safer." She then listed the number of gun-related deaths each year in a way that appeared to suggest guns actually make America less safe.

On January 3 Trump responded with: "Hillary said that guns don't keep you safe. If she really believes that she should demand that her heavily armed bodyguards quickly disarm!"

Compared wi9th statistics from other developed countries, that IS a gun problem.

You assume that suicides don't count. Why?

If one of your relative blew their brains out,  would you just ignore it?

And compared to the statistics in THIS COUNTRY, where more lives are saved with a gun, than taken, the only "gun problem", is apparently that there not enough law abiding gun owning citizens and/or FAR TOO MANY designated "gun free zones"

Of course not.  But considering there are millions of ways that one can kill themselves, you don't infringe on a fundamental Constitutional right, just to try and address a fraction of a fraction of those deaths in America, attributed to the use of a gun.

Because when you look at suicides there are countries with strict
gun control laws that have higher rates of suicide than the United States.
So it's not really a gun thing.

...... nearly 500 Americans are  estimated to die from acetaminophen overdoses every year.

    This is a big population, small percentages make big numbers pretty quick.

      Understanding the problem without understanding the scale of the problem isn't understanding the problem.

Not more effective, simply messier.  Not to mention it's largely irrelevent, since Guns also make defending onself from someone that wishes to hurt or kill, more effective as well

No, since someone wanting to go so far as to kill themselves, will simply do it another way, be it pills or even carbon monoxide. 

The more guns there are, the more people will be shot.

And if that means more bad guys get shot, while more innocent lives are saved (as validated by the stats in THIS country).....works for me

I'm ignoring other country's statisitics, if you haven't noticed.  Other countries don't have a 2nd amendment, so trying to compare us to them is apples to oranges
