Who claimed fighter jets could perform rescues?? Fighter jets could have easily dispersed the masses starting, and with laser targeting provided by special forces, could have easily taken out any mortar encampments, are large groupings of terrorsists. The sight of the jets alone could have sent many of the terrorists attacking fleeing...giving time for rescue HELICOPTERS from ships in the Med, to come in and perform the actual rescues
