And yet, when referring to all lives matter, the same crew you cite as inferring that black really means all, that all apparently means all but black.  How does that work, exactly?

The actual slogan means more than it says.
It means that Black people are fellow citizens and deserve the same treatment by the police and society as everyone else.

I wish it said this explicitly.

Well, it can't, because that is too many words for a slogan.
Slogans are always based on emotions rather than logic.
One can say simple and true things in a few words, but they are npot going to inspire the multitudes

Two plus two equals four! would be one example.

In that context it's workable but they SHOULD focus thier actions toward general police abuses not specificly towards blacks being the victims. What's going on would most likely not of happen. The fact the sniper target white cops pretty much not of been said

A Black guy that deliberately targets White cops gets more condemnation that White cops who shoot Black citizens in the line of duty. I think that this is logical.

Of course, we did have White cops ( who were also Kluxers)  that deliberately murdered two White and one Black civil rights advocates in Mississippi and it took from 1964 to 2005 to convict the last of the murderous perps in the Neshoba Mississippi Burning case. No one was convicted of murder, only manslaughter, and all but one got a sentence of ten years or less.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mississippi_Burning.

White cops killing voting rights workers got off easier than this Black guy shooting cops he did not know at random.

In a completely unrelated event Ronald Reagan chose Neshoba County as the place to kick off his 1980 campaign. The Mississippi Burning case was dormant for the following 25 years.

Putting aside the rarity of such an event (4% of those shot and killed by a white cop are black....meaning 96% are of every other race), when a cop unjustly/inappropriately/DELIBERATELY shoots ANYONE...THEY ARE CONDEMNED

You're purposely confusing/conflating officers who have shot blacks, in the line of duty, that once investigations have been completed and ALL facts are made public, in nearly every one of those cases, the shooting was a justified reaction, based on the black person's actions.  Not all, and when those rare of rare cases that demonstrates factually, that ANY police officer purposely used excessive force, when it wasn't justified, THEY are condemned, with the goal of a thorough prosecution & conviction

Cops rarely get accused when they kill anyone of any color.
When a white cop shoots a white guy, it does not provoke demonstrations as a rule and we do not hear about it.

The city of Baltimore thought that they did $4.6 million in damages to the family when Freddy Gray was shot, but look how no one was guilty of even manslaughter.
I hardly think that Baltimore thinks that somehow the bureaucracy that runs the city is to blame for his death. I don't think they hand out $4.6 million for no reason at all.

Not sure what planet you're referring to.....but on this planet ANY officer that is accused of shooting ANYONE is not only investigated fully, but many of those accusations are found to be in error or bogus accusations to begin with

What we DON'T do on this planet is automatically accuse officers of targeting/killing ANYONE, much less blacks, without all the facts to support such an accusation.  Your Baltimore case is a perfect example.  The FACTS proved they did nothing malicious or murderous.  What the city does, is a political decision...one frequently disconnected from actual facts and more concerns about the optics

Yeah, sure, the city of Baltimore was entirely wrong. Freddie Gray, who was arrested only for resisting arrest, was just unlucky. How do you dispose he managed to break his spine in three places?   Did he do it just to annoy the cops?

The city of Baltimore is the city of Baltimore.  It's run by politicians who make decisions based almost entirely on politics, public perception, and optics.  It matters not how much hard earned tax dollars the politicians decided to try and placate the families involved, the courts (and facts) concluded no crime, no murder, no manslaughter. What's left is a tragic accident.

I'm guessing the Baltimore police have adopted new procedures for placing detained prisoners in their vehicles, to hopefully keep future tragic accidents from occuring

Watch out sirs. Tragic accidents could happen to you.

Pretend you are Freddie Gray if you can.

Yes, they could.  That's why they're called accidents.  I work in a hospital and see examples of tragic accidents every day

(and if I were Freddy Gray, I would have never given the police any reason to have to restrain me the way they did   ::) )

The van they put Freddy in was not in any accident. What happened to him was clearly deliberate.

The facts of the court case even more clearly trumps your opinion, I'm afraid
