Should Hillary spend a year in Jail?

Shure she should , why not?

Perhaps it would be easier to simply apologize to  Martha Stewart?

Remember Martha Stewart was first accused of insider trading, but the prosecutors decided her offense on that account not worthy of prosecution....

BUT... in the process of that investigation she did lie to federal authorities!

So on the charge of telling an untruth to a federal investigator Martha Stewart is found guilty and has a 12 month time out.

Perhaps one might think that the secrecy of government documents is no big deal, that the careless handling of a secretary of states duty is not important.

But regardless of that , Hillary Clinton has most certainly committed the exact same offence that got Martha Stewart time in stir.

Of course lying to a federal investigator is a big deal , lying to the public or to persons in general is an even bigger deal, only it is punished with a loss of respect rather than jail time .

She will not go to jail, she will go to the White House and continue to attempt to pursue the noble goals of President Obama. The GOP will lie in shambles, but Ted Cruz will be the first one to  stumble among the rotting, festering remains, picking through the refuse that was once the dying corpse, eaten from within by the maggots of the Tea Party.

If Trump wins Hillary would go to jail.
but guess what Barack Hussein Obama will do in Dec/Jan before he leaves office?
Yes Obama will pardon her.
Problem with that is I don't think Obama can pardon himself.
I guess Barack Hussein Obama could resign in Dec and have crazy Uncle Joe pardon him.

Hillary will not go to jail.
Obama has committed no crimes and he won't go to jail, either.
As much as you might like it, this is not Pakistan, "Christians".

No president who tries to punish a predecessor will accomplish doodly squat after he tries, because all his political capital and good feelings will be used up.

Trump will not be elected.

We ALL know she's not going to jail.  She's a Clinton....she's above the law, not to mention the Democrats running the Justice dept aren't going prosecute their presidential nominee.  What are you smoking to think they would??

Why not?

Martha Stewart went to jail for exactly this.

It remains clear.

An ordinary person who acts like a Clinton is going to jail directly without passing GO.

Indeed.  Anyone not a Clinton or an Obama would absolutely be heading to Federal prison

President Obama has not been even accused of anything that could cause him to be convicted of anything. Not even enough for Issa or Goudy to call a hearing.

Any administration that begins a term with a vindictive prosecution of the previous administration will lose any attempt at unifying the country behind anything the new president seeks to attempt.  This has been the way that Pakistan has chosen to govern, and there are few countries on this planet less well governed. Of course, in Pakistan, the vindictive side has always used Islam and Sharia Law to discredit the opposition. Nothing similar could be used in the USA: the Constitution is not the Koran or the Haditha.

Dr Deflection strikes again......no one said Obama could/should go to jail.  And when, in modern day history has any previous adminstration voted in, "vindictively" gone after the prior adminstration??  These are all wishful hypotheticals, but no one is going to go after Clinton (Or Obama) once Trump has taken office.  Merely that given what Clinton has done, any lesser person would be going to Federal prison

Someone wrote the title to this thread. That person asks should she spend a YEAR in jail. That suggests bothj a judgement of guilt AND a sentence,

Yea she SHOULD, but no one here thinks she will or would.   CONTEXT is everything
