Convention Chaos: Debbie Drops Out!
« on: July 24, 2016, 11:44:48 AM »

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chair of the Democratic National Committee has been dropped from the party's lineup of convention speakers after WikiLeaks released emails showing the DNC colluded against Bernie Sanders. According to CNN, Democrat insiders hope that the absence of schultz will prevent chaos on the convention floor from angry Sanders supporters.

  That would be enough?

DWS will certainly be due a large reward in the Clinton administration, not only because she has already done so much , but because a loyal soldier is worth ten competent soldiers.

I was never a Bernie Sanders fan, I do not have any clue how cheated they feel.

Except for XO who clues me in as well as he can.

         Thanks XO.

I read nothing and saw nothing that encouraged me to vote for Hillary based on Sanders defects. All I got were daily appeals for money from Hillary. I replied that I was for Bernie and stop sending me e mail, which they did not do. I did get thanked for my comments, but there was no evidence that my comments were read.

If Hillary used improper techniques, I saw no evidence of this. I see no utility in Sanders supporters suing because they could not bring about a do over.  Sanders won at my precinct by a small margin.

In a statement, Wasserman Schultz said she will step down at the end of the four-day convention. She said she plans to formally open and close the convention, as well as address delegates.

Nope.

This is an admission , but she will hold the gavel through the convention anyway?

This is a very bad choice, it will not deflect the ire of Sanders supporters.

Or it would not were I one.

She is admitting that she was unfair to Sanders , one of the left most candidates to ever run for president. This is practically the same as Hillary Clinton herself admitting this same.

The late withdrawal of DW-S isn't really much , it is like catching a bank robbery and the robbers says " All right , you got me , just let me continue until I am out of the bank".

There is only one real Sanders fan that I ever talk to ,....

What do you think Xo...

Is there enough contrition being shown?

Hillary admitting this would be like Hillary admitting this.
I am not a great fan of Wasserman-Schultz. She is way too much of a fan of Netanyahu for me. I am hoping she loses the primary. She has a formidable opponent, but I am not in her district.

There is just no Teflon like Clinton Teflon.

If she looses this election she might consider a career in endorsing cookware.

If she wins, even more so.

Surely you jest. Clinton is not teflon.
90% of the speeches of those who endorse Trump only talk about Hillary and all her faults.

The e mails were mostly not about what the Hillary supporters DID,. It was about points that MIGHT HAVE WORKED had they been emphasized, such as calling Bernie a Jew or an Atheist.  These were despicable tactics, but they were not used. Wasserman Schultz is Jewish, by the way. VERY Jewish. VERY pro Netanyahu.

What is your point?

Is Nixon blameless because he did nothing at the Watergate himself?

Nixon was clearly aware of what was done in his name.
As I recall, he said something like "a million dollars could be raised... that would not be a problem."

Julian Assange on Wikileaks DNC Email Release

"I guess there's a question: What does that mean for the U.S. Democratic Party? It is important for there to be examples of accountability. The resignation was an example of that. Now, of course, Hillary Clinton has tried to immediately produce a counter-example by putting out a statement, within hours, saying that Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a great friend, and she's incorporating her into her campaign, she's going to be pushing for her re-election to the Congress.

So that's a very interesting signaling by Hillary Clinton that if you act in a corrupt way that benefits Hillary Clinton, you will be taken care of. Why does she need to put that out? Certainly, it's not a signal that helps with the public at all. It's not a signal that helps with unity at the DNC, at the convention. It's a signal to Hillary Clinton partisans to keep on going on, you'll be taken care of. But it's a very destructive signal for a future presidency, because it's effectively, it's expanding the Overton window of corruption. It doesn't really matter what you do, how you behave; as long as that is going to benefit Hillary Clinton, you'll be protected."
