     That is not surprising , but it is very sad.

       I like to think I would rebel under those circumstances.

          I don't expect a great result from the re-establishment of Syrian government control , if history is any guide there will be new mass graves months after the rebellion is over.

An end to the killing is preferable to continuing it.
Syria as a nation was a bad idea. It was not a Syrian idea, to be sure the French and Brits divided up Iraq poorly, with no thought to the people of the area.

   I think there will be a difference between the end of this war and an end to killing.


      One might continue long after the other.
