Hey a Tri-corder just sounds like a good idea.

Can we offer a prize now for those salt shakers that would knit broken bones with a whirring sound?

i remember this decades ago when somebody actually tried to make one and discover using radar on the human body actually works and the key factor to call it a tricoder is it records the data. it`s was brought up rodenberry stated anyone serious trying to make star trek technology is allowed to do it.
