if only they made a pda look like a motherbox

I think I should cut back on the comicbooks alittle.

The working parts are so small that hideing it in an earring would be no problem.

If you know a jeweler that does custom work ,and a geek, you could get them together on the project.

But if you want ti to look like a motherbox and call it something like "Motherbox" you will need a lawyer to be involved too.

Once you have a royalty agreement  you can sell them  , I think that haveing just one or two made for yourself would not be a problem.

I bet something like that is already being made , if not ,could be a money maker.

ear-ring most likely
tri-corder would most likely not due to extreme copy-rights protection from paramount.
note soo many star wars products than star trek products.
just another nail on the star trek coffin
lets hope matt damon does a great kirk
if he gets the job.

I understand that you are something of an "ideas man." Why not try to market a unique version of this? See if it would work. Seriously. You never know.

Measureing instruments that resemble a tricorder are already serious tools.

A pyrometer is just for tempreture , but sensors for many other measrements  are being miniturised and combined.

Bone's medical equipment is showing up in reality too.

It is true that I have always been interested in invention but I have comitments that prevent me from makeing an unlikely investment.

I and my brother would like to work on alternative fuels , but we can't invest too much time or money , so I don't expect to win in such a competition.

have you seen american inventor?
The cool thing for me about the show there is more than one winner
the 2nd and 3rd people get backers anyway
by getting a public veiwing of their product backer may show up and help them anyway
like the kid who literally on the show redesign a whole type of bike.

since we`re talk alt fuels
what do you think is the most viable alt energy source?
so far solar seems to be it for me
but plasma is starting to look good now(wierd)

=====================================\
The best alternative energy source depends on where you are and what's available.

If you are in the desert where the Sun is always shining, solar makes sense.

If you are in Patagonia, where the wind blows all the time, wind turbines are a better choice.

If you are in Iceland, where there are geysers and volcanic activity near the surface, then geothermal is a good choice.

Tidal energy is a possibility, as is placing turbines in the gulf stream.

Energy can be extracted from the different temperatures at different levels in the ocean.

----------------------------------------------------------
The Powers that Be do not actually give a damn at the moment.

Juniorbush went to Brazil, which has become energy self-sufficient, supposedly to discuss alternative fuels, such as ethanol distilled from sugar cane.
Sugar cane is a much better source of ethanol than corn, because corn must be turned into a sugar before it can be turned into alcohol. Archer-Daniels Midland does NOT want to compete with cheap Brazilian alcohol.

The President of ADM sold ex-presidential candidate Bob Dole a really nifty condo in Bal Harbour at less than half the going rate several years ago. AFDM is really tight with politicians.

But when he was asked if this meant that he was in favor of ending the huge import tax on ethanol inot the US, he went into a caniption fit and said that nothing could be done until 2010.

Supposedly this was because that is when the tariff law ran out (of course, any law can be changed at any time).

In reality, Olebush, the Carlysle Group, Halliburton, Exxon Mobil, and Prince Bandar Bush all would prefer that they sell us gasoline at today's inflated prices.

Their wealth is vastly more important than the welfare of the USA or its people.

Chopping up Bushes into small bits, fermenting them and turning them into biofuel would probably not be terribly efficient from a scientific perspective, but if it were done publically, it might be quite efficient politically.

not sure we can grow sugarcane in areas other than where they are now.
but I don`t recall anyone talking about sugar beet as a sugar source.
also corn as a alt.fuel we would serriously need to vastly increase corn production .
I`m not sure the U.S. is even able to do that.
it`s not like we had a corn surplus to begin with

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sugar beets are a GREAT source of sugar, and are almost as efficient a source of ethanol as cane. A whole lot of Colorado, Montana and the Dakotas could easily produce more sugar beets.

There has been a HUGE surplus of corn in the US for decades. Hence the immense increase in soft drinks and soft drionk ads. The sweeteners in that stuff are made from corn. 10 teaspoonsful per 12 oz soda.

The trouble is that most of a corn plant is waste: there are only one to four ears on the stalk, and then thaey have to be converted into a sugar before thay can be fermented and distilled. Producing corn requires a lot of gasoline and Diesel. Ethanol from corn is very heavily subsidized in the US. If it weren't, there would be none, and the corn for fuel program would die.

Switchgrass and rapeseed (canola) oil are much better to be turned into methanol and biodiesel.

Biodiesel is every bit as efficient as dino Diesel. Diesel engines go farther on a gallon than any gas engine.

Ethanol is only 80% as efficient and can only be used in a gas engine.

Don't you ever watch ADM commercials and read between the lines?
