But on a side note, why should I, as a partisan conservative, be all reved up about Romney?
==============================================

I suppose the answer would be because he might actually be electable.

Plane is right, Juniorbush is not any sort of conservative, compassionate or otherwise.

If Clinton was a "tax and spend Liberal", then Juniorbush is a "borrow and squander" militarist.

Olebush was a moderate conservative. Reagan was a mostly chickenshit conservative: Under Reagan the govermnent beat up on a tiny country (Grenada) and the American poor, but the government continued to grow.
Reagan took the solar panels off the White House and sold off huge amounts of timber from National Forests.

The only good thing anyone can say about Reagan was that ()1) he looked like3 someon'e kindly old grandpa ans (2) if they prepared it for him, he could deliver a speech pretty well.

That's not exactly why I'd vote for a candidate.  I voted for McClintock during the CA recall, knowing he likely wasn't electable.  And Prince's Libertarian Republican definately has perked my interest.

Plane is right, Juniorbush is not any sort of conservative, compassionate or otherwise.

Minus the snide swipe as his supposed lack of compassion, Plane isn't the only one who have been up front in acknowledging that Bush was ever a true conservative.  Most conservatives have known and expressed precisely that.  It's been ........ well, it's been folks like yourself Xo, who have constantly, in the face of all reality to the contrary, been trying to lay claim how far right he was.  Literally some fundi RW whack job

I'll let the rest of your rant, just run its course
