I heard a neat story, a guy's wife started talking on Skype with penpals from France.  She wanted to improve her college French.
These women became friends, and they invited her and her daughter to visit all their houses, and they did last summer.  What a delightful way to learn and make friends!

Skype is a way to talk for free over the internet with people long distance.

You could  download Skype and then use it to practice your Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka or Wu.
