JS: Limbo?

Of all the many, Christlike changes Pope Ratzinger could have made, he chooses limbo? I suppose that qualifies him for the Catholic radicals' Hall of Fame, which has to exclude on scope, meaning and impact Christ Himself, the "rebel rabbi." If one is known by the choices he makes, well, Pope Ratzinger is a dilettante!

Why would rethinking Limbo be considered radical?

I hadn't heard about this, so I looked it up.

I know a Catholic nurse who quickly baptized a dying newborn, only to find out when she told the parents that they were Jewish....

It's considered radical to assure people that their babies won't be forever barred from Heaven, if they have not been baptized?  My goodness, Jesus was a grown man before John baptized him.  Infant mortality was greater then, I imagine....
