How about Babylon 5 then?

BTW, my favorite Star Trek series was Deep Space Nine. Yours?

Joss Whedon shows tend to get a little more bizarre as they go on!

Speaking of getting bizarre, anyone been watching Hex on BBC?

I didn't watch Babylon 5, was it good?

To be honest, Deep Space Nine was my least favorite. I liked the original series (TOS to geeks like me) and the next generation (TNG) and Voyager all about equally well. The Original Series probably had the best writing, but of course the production value was pretty low.

I haven't watched it yet. I admit to watching Robin Hood, which is just horrible from an historical perspective, but for mindless entertainment it is fun.

Best sci fi on television until Firefly came out.

Yeah, it's a fun show to watch.

Yes. I recently watched the new stuff on BBCAmerica. The show has some interesting ideas, but it takes an awfully long time to tell its story. I liked where they seemed to be going at first with the Cassie character when the series began. But now it just seems like they're trying hard to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Or rather, were trying hard. The show was canceled a year or back as I understand it, so this second (third? I'm not sure) season is the end.

Why?

I refused to watch TNG when it 1st came out, believing it to be a rip off of the original series.  Then somewhere in season 2 I started to watch it, and realized it wasn't.  Great cast, excellent story lines, and Patrick Stewart was the best captain of all the follow-up Treks, IMHO.  Fabulous command presence, without being overwhelming.  And Brent Spiner, as Data, was nearly as good.  The Dr & the Counselor were only barely adequate

But, Jonathan Frakes was excellent, IMHO.

Then again, Voyager had Jeri Ryan. What more must be said? :P

Well, on the Frakes reference, I thought he was a better director than 1st officer.  And as far as 7of9 goes............Oooooboy

Some news for fans of Jericho:

There is a rumor that CBS is seriously considering an 8 episode finale for Jericho to be aired around the middle of next season. Hopefully there will be confirmation of this by the end of the week if not sooner.
