Happy Independence Day

to all you Americans out there.

All day long I get to celebrate people fighting against an oppressive government and for the ideals of liberty and human rights, and you can't stop me! Ha ha ha ha ha!

Yeah, I know, tomorrow, it's back to business as usual, but still...

I'm thinking some Sam Adams beer, various sorts just for fun, and eventually some sort of red meat (properly cooked of course, and with some rosemary, mmmmm) with maybe some potatoes on the side.

What about the rest of you folks? What have you planned?
Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

about 30 friends and family coming by for bbq and fun.  a bocci ball tournament, volley ball, swimming, ribs and hot dogs, fireworks.  should be a fun day.  as soon as I get my house clean.

Happy 4th to all!  And a BIG thank you to all who serve our country!!!

Pizza, beer, and the neighborhood fireworks show. Not too bad all in all.

Is that the naive 4th grade version of the American Revolution? ;)
I smell something burning, hope it's just my brains.
They're only dropping peppermints and daisy-chains
So stuff my nose with garlic
   Coat my eyes with butter
   Fill my ears with silver
   Stick my legs in plaster
   Tell me lies about Vietnam.

Went down to the parade in the morning, waved at friends and various extended family members (one of those small town things), then I went to the carnival, rode some rides, ate some curly fries, then finished the day off on the banks of the Skagit river with some fried chicken and Coke and a trout rod.

All in all a damned fine day

Dinner with Family , then a protracted wrestleing match with a broken Toilet and sewer line full of roots.

4th of July means one thing to me: going to Columbus and gaming continuously for days.
