No, I tried going vegetarian for ethical reasons but after about three weeks of it I got very bad stomach aches so I quit. Then later I became a diabetic and the doctor says don't fuck around with it (vegetarianism, etc.) THEN, I got a heart attack and recovered but the doctor said, "Anything you like, you can't eat." So I had to quit eating steaks, roast beef, souvlaki, pizza, baconburgers - - everything I loved. Only I didn't really quit - - just cut back quite a bit. Makes it taste all the better on those rare-treat days - - birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, bar mitzvahs, funerals, christenings, circumcisions, Remembrance Day, Buddha's Birthday, Tuesdays, etc.
My daughter-in-law and future son-in-law are vegetarians but the daughter-in-law will eat fish. Reminds me of an old conversation, 1st hippie, probably similar in diet to my daughter-in-law, "I don't eat anything that has a face."
Second hippie, "I don't eat anything that has a driver's licence."
