Oh, because it nails the ridiculousness of the hypocrisy claim so well?  In that case, it must be idiotic        It's actually called nailing it on the head type of comparison.  In order for this senator to be a hypocrit, he needs to go on record as decrying how gay members should not be elected to public office.  Then you, & Lanya might have a leg to stand on.  Even if he were gay, which he continues to deny, doesn't mandate that he be for gay marriage, or that gays can serve openly in the military, etc.
