Wanting the government to support your secularism is no more or less objectionable than a puritan of any stripe wanting government enforcement of his favoriate dogma.

Do you want evolution taught in school , even to children from familys that object? That is governmental interference in child rearing and the government should not have the power to choose the indoctrination of children into a religion or lack thereof.

So are you then in full support then of abolishing the entire public school system? If you don't want government interference in child rearing, abolishing the entire public school system is what that would require. In any case, I don't agree that teaching evolution, a scientific theory, in science classes is comparable to teaching children there is no God.

The Public school system could use a big change better than an abolishment , the voucher system would do best for me. 99.9 % of parents want good education for their children, this is a better rate than the Government , but we don't all agree on what the truth is with the government .

People who do not agree with the government about what the truth is should have a resonable option  .
