OK, back to the point. I still disagree that there would have been genocide. I believe that Cairo radio broadcast that they would exterminate Zionism.
That is not a call to exterminate the Jews. That is a call to exterminate a political force.
And you know what? All the neocons talk about "collateral damage" during wartime. "Too bad, they lost, that's what happens." But, of course, this gets a different standard.
I think it was XO who has said repeatedly that Israel will live on, but Zionism and the Israeli government has to go. I agree. Let's be pragmatic about this. There are now Israelis in Eretz Israel who were born there. There were always Jews living there. They can't be "relocated" as some of the crazy ideas go, nor wiped out, nor harmed, nor lose their stake. But they need a damn overhaul of their government, that's for sure. Yitzhak Rabin style or better. (Minus the assassination by extremist Jewish nutter Yigal Amir.)
