<<THUS, we do NOT have anything run by americans, we have instances of abuse performed by soldiers who forgot what it means to be a U.S. Soldier. >>
I guess, sirs, you have spun a little narrative around the torturers of Abu Ghraib. With no knowledge of the situation and a studied determination to ignore any and all facts to the contrary, you have decided that the torturers "forgot what it means to be a U.S. soldier." Where did you find any evidence that this was so? Did any of them even make that claim? Of course not. YOU made it up for them. Just one more example of your inability and/or unwillingness to live in the real world and the Herculean efforts you have to make to construct a fantasy world that enables you to maintain the ridiculous bullshit running like a crawl at the bottom of whatever monitor screen your brain is reading 24/7 in contravention of every obvious fact to the contrary: "Amerikkka goooood, Bush goooood, U.S. military goooood."
<<You see Tee, your problem is what Pooch already presented to the saloon. Your bias is SOOO beyond blinded, that NOTHING will make a dent in it, facts, proof, examples, NOTHING. >>
Here we go again, same old bullshit. No facts, no proof, no examples, NOTHING. As if I made up all stories of "collateral damage," torture, murder, rape, faked documentation of WMD, casualties, etc. That all counts for nothing. But anything YOU say and POOCH says, that is fucking Gospel. I am biased, unworthy of belief, blinded, etc. and the capstone on all this is not merely my alleged total lack of evidence for any position I've taken but the concurrence of the two greatest minds on this board, yours and Pooch's. Well, pardon me if I snicker. I'm really trying my very best not to laugh out loud. Not to go . . . .BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, but there, I couldn't help it.
<< We could have a story of U.S. soldiers saving a bus full of children from running over one your alQeada buddy built IED's, and you'd claim that they saved them in order to kill them later. >>
Why don't you wait till you actually have such a story before telling me how I'd react to it? So far most of the stories I've seen involving Iraqi kids and GI's end with the Iraqi kids as "collateral damage" and some very concerned and thoughtful comment on how disturbing this must have been for the GI killers, who were probably back at their base guzzling beer and watching porno movies within an hour of the "unfortunate incident" or "tragedy."
<<That's how perverse it is. That's how you can irrationally come to the conclusions that these isolated acts of abuse at Abu Graib, are simply "just the surface" of what really goes on at U.S. prisoner bases here & abroad. >>
Well, nothing "perverse" about it, nothing "irrational" about the conclusion, nothing "isolated" about the acts of abuse, but otherwise, yeah, you seem to have a handle on that.
<<So, in the grand scheme of reality, it doesn't matter to you. America is evil, Bush is evil, U.S. military is evil.>>
That IS the "grand scheme of reality" - - unfortunately. And it won't change, even with a Democrat in the Oval Office - - unless that Democrat is Kucinich.
