Last Tuesday, the day before the barrage on Sderot, three people were killed in Gaza by a tank shell fired into a house southeast of Khan Yunis. Two more were killed by a bomb dropped by a plane on their car and another "met his death" in the area of Beit Hanoun. According to the IDF, all of the dead were terror activists, members of the Islamic Jihad. A total of 13 people were killed in the action and 40 were arrested for interrogation.

Wars have winners , to point out that casualtys are much heavyer on one side than the other is one key to which side will be the winner.

The Palestinians are in a very bad plight , their best stratagem at present is to be belicose and fecund untill by sheer numbers they over whelm the Israelis.

This is a strategy that merely insures poverty whether they win or loose , anddoes not make winning likely at all.

It used to be that wars were fought for territory and booty, and whoever got the most territory and booty won. Since wars were planned by kings and other bigshots (who generally claimed that God put them in power), the dead and wounds did not count.

Now we have pretty much outlawed war for either territory or booty (it seems that Israel thinks it, alone among all others is an exception) and no one really wins/ Plus, the leader, even a dictator, has to sort of listen to the people he rules, since in the old days, the soldiers were considered the personal property of the ruler, and even considered themselves to be such.

Israel kills a LOT more Palestinians than Palestinians kill Israelis, but those who die and are wounded are clearly losers. So are the people who the money the war would have been spent on or at least those whose taxes the money was are losers.

The American people are losing $20 billion as month in Iraq. That is 20 thousand million. We could have 20,000 millionaires a day for the same price. Even more, if we taxed the winners, or paid them off over 20 years as lotteries do.

This kind of delusion is fascinating. Israel has been under attack literally from it?s inception, but this idiot reaches into the depths of his delusion and claims it is Israel who is responsible. I?d like to ask XO, can you name another country who has been attacked and then given BACK the land it took from it?s tormentor? I can, The United States of America.

Actually it?s money well spent. We haven?t had an attack here at home since 9/11, Saddam Hussein is out of the terrorist pondering business and will never be able to sell nuclear/biological weapons to other terrorists, Libya is out of the nuclear weapons business, and apparently Iran is out of the WMD business as well. I thinks that?s money better spent then paying for Rush Limbaugh?s healthcare.
