Just curious what has Hillary Clinton herself ever really done in a big way for children?
Besides writing a few books and working at the Children's Defense Fund for less than a year,
are there any major accomplishments for children (legislative or otherwise) that Hillary Clinton

Hillary isn't president yet, Rich.  This is true. But I do think that she has enough "ideas" in the works to at least make a change. I know that she hasn't accomplished anything in this arena, but I do think that she is capable of at least making her ideas work out if elected. I have a feeling that of all the candidates, she can do this. I didn't like her..and haven't for years...but if it is a toss up between Obama and Hillary...I think that Hillary has enough knowledge under her belt...as well as experience to really compassionatlely give it the best "college try".

Frst of all you're crediting me with someone else's post. No big deal, just so you know.

As for Mrs. Clinton getting things done, I imagine that's true. We know when she wants something done, she throws things like lamps and ashtrays. We also know that when Mrs. Clinton wants something, she's not adverse to breaking rules to get it done.

Look, Mrs. Clinton would be another Richard Nixon. She'd certainly has an enemies list and she's shown us she'll use the IRS and the FBI to get after people she deems her enemy. Do we want that? No, I don't.

Mrs. Clinton is done anyway. The local radio stations here in the Cleveland area are advocating that Republicans vote for Obama in the primary, which is exactly what I plan to do. After that it's up to McCain to show Barack Hussien Obam for the fool that he is.

Nope, Egypt won't invade the Saudis. Iran vs. Azerbaijanistan? Who cares. Let 'em go after it. It will also keep Russia occupied some. Turkey vs. the Kurds is probably more likely. That one is a bit more difficult to judge.

Israel has man-for-man, the best military force in the Middle East. But they have far fewer men.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king, as they say.

Israel can defend itself, and can make rapid raids into foreign territory, but it cannot take over and hold even small areas outside Israel, as we have seen in Lebanon.

A war involving Israel will be presented in the US media as major, because of the tremendous power of the Israeli lobby in Washington.

But Israel is in no way  necessary to the defense of the US, and when the US takes Israel's side, it makes all those other countries loathe us. Israel has some serious apartheid going on, ad needs to change that or get out of the West Bank entirely.

If...will....seems to me that there have been such threats and strife in those regions for centuries....who's to say that attacks will not continue in the side of the planet that seems to have such deep seeded hate for others. The Middle East is backward. PERIOD. We need to realize that there are centuries of miles between the west and the mid east. . . . so of course there are going to be conflicts....over dates and nuts, olives and palms.....but backward is backward. How many patents does the citizens of the middle east have to offer the world...not many inventions....patents are a key to civilization....change, progress is key...and the middle east seems to continue to stay put in terms of progress.

Do we measure a cutlure by their patents...by their creativity and brillance? No. but we should. After all, if the countries of the middle east were to suddenly hold court as leaders in the global atmosphere, what would they have to offer.....the toothbrush has already been invented.

As for the McCain continuing a war.....I think he "talks' tought"....but he was a prisoner of war, for gosh sakes....He is NO BUSH, XO. God, even though I like Obama and Hillary for the fuure of this nation..and I detest Bush, I do not think that McCain is going to start another conflict in the middle east any time soon.....Bush did that all by himself..and many lives have suffered because of it...McCain will be another candidate to clean up afterward...that's all.

Yes it does sicken me to utter that I was voting for the most liberal
member of the US Senate and in the democratic primary, but then I
remember it's only the primaries and it brought great joy to send Hellary
to the loser category. BTW, this was the first time I ever voted on the
Democratic Party side and it was the first time I ever smelled horrible "B-O"
while I was standing in line waiting to vote in an election. I was thinking
"what moron hasnt bathed for a few days and shows up to vote"? Pathetic.
There may be a message there.
