After reviewing acknowledgments of God from all 50 state constitutions, one is faced with the prospect that maybe,
the ACLU and the out-of-control federal courts are wrong! 

(Please note that at no time is anyone told that they MUST worship God.)

I dunno, that "Author of our Existence" sounds pretty Deist to me.

Hawaii only speaks of being grateful for "Divine Guidance"

That can be taken a lot of ways: are we talking Christian God, Jewish God, Moslem God, a Hindu God, a Shinto God, Buddha, a Greco/Roman God, a Norse God, a Celtic God, a Native American God, a Mayan God, an Incan God, a Swahili God, a Zulu God, a Malinese God, a Rus God?

Any of those could be adequately substituted.

When all but two of those were written, women couldn't vote and your senator was elected by state representatives.  Only three of those were written in the last 100 years.

Well, I say Christian majority rules.  THat is what the premables were probably referrring to.

This time I am in favor of the Deist preamble wise.

Now, I suppose we will have another one of those Deist ALMIGHT debates over religion. Ok, we have all been there done that on the board.  But frankly, I would love to get into a heated debate about faith on here...

Mtee....You have no idea of what it means to understand and embrace the very essence and reality of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Period.  Lest you are a believer in God. If not...you have no stage to witness here.

So,no, I take what you say with not only a grain of salt, but with sorrow----as you have no idea what it means to gather as "one body" ...in Christ.

Similar to making Little Johny say grace.
It makes the faithful happy, and all the rest have to do is roll their eyes
