I don`t want my taxes paying for the internet
I think the money I already paid getting connected should be enough
I don`t want to be double charged
my dsl express even covers me using starbucks wireless.
so I don`t think I should pay even more.
internet is not a charity why should it be getting government money.

but at this juncture a government system will not be replacing the existing service.
it`ll only provide free wireless to people with computers.
and I`ll still be paying for my service on top of being taxed
my claim of a double charge stands
I say this because my town is trying for free internet.
and no matter what I still need to use my existing service.
free internet is not that much better than 56k dail up.
much too limiting for my use.

If the govt pays for you are paying for it, one way or another. And because you are paying for it through the govt odds are it will be rationed. And that isn't much different than what comcast is doing.
