Read & Weep Mr Tee - Why Palin Scares You

Mikey, this is why you act like a scared little boy every time Palin's name is mentioned. When you can't debate the issues you (and your brothers) destroy the person, or shall I say deconstruct them. Your behavior is right out of the Liberal Dirty Tricks Handbook page 69.

Palin Power: Fresh Face Now More Popular Than Obama, McCain

A week ago, most Americans had never heard of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Now, following a Vice Presidential acceptance speech viewed live by more than 40 million people, Palin is viewed favorably by 58% of American voters. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 37% hold an unfavorable view of the self-described hockey mom.

The figures include 40% with a Very Favorable opinion of Palin and 18% with a Very Unfavorable view (full demographic crosstabs are available for Premium Members). Before her acceptance speech, Palin was viewed favorably by 52%. A week ago, 67% had never heard of her.

The new data also shows significant increases in the number who say McCain made the right choice and the number who say Palin is ready to be President. Generally, John McCain’s choice of Palin earns slightly better reviews than Barack Obama’s choice of Joe Biden.

Perhaps most stunning is the fact that Palin’s favorable ratings are now a point higher than either man at the top of the Presidential tickets this year. As of Friday morning, Obama and McCain are each viewed favorably by 57% of voters. Biden is viewed favorably by 48%.

There is a strong partisan gap when it comes to perceptions of Palin. Eighty-nine percent (89%) of Republicans give her favorable reviews along with 33% of Democrats and 59% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

She earns positive reviews from 65% of men and 52% of women. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows that Obama continues to lead McCain among women voters while McCain leads among men. The Friday morning update—the first to include interviews conducted after Palin’s speech--showed the beginning of a Republican convention bounce that may match Obama’s bounce from last week.

Fifty-one percent (51%) of Americans believe that most reporters are trying to hurt Palin’s campaign, a fact that may enhance her own ratings.

The Palin pick has also improved perceptions of John McCain. A week ago, just before he introduced his running mate, just 42% of Republicans had a Very Favorable opinion of their party’s nominee. That figure jumped to 54% by this Friday morning. Among unaffiliated voters, favorable opinions of McCain have increased by eleven percentage points in a week—from 54% before the Palin announcement to 65% today.

Fifty-one percent (51%) of all voters now believe that McCain made the right choice when he picked Palin to be his running mate while 32% disagree. By way of comparison, on the night after Biden gave his acceptance speech, 47% said that Obama made the right choice.

Eighty-one percent (81%) of Republicans say that McCain made the right choice while just 69% of Democrats said the same about Obama.

Among unaffiliated voters, 52% said that McCain made the right choice for his running mate and 45% said the same about Obama.

Forty percent (40%) now say that Palin is ready to be President, if necessary. That’s up from 29% last week. Forty-nine percent (49%) say the same about Biden.

However, following the Wednesday night speech, voters are fairly evenly divided as to whether Palin or Obama has the better experience to be President. Forty-four percent (44%) of voters say Palin has the better experience while 48% say Obama has the edge. Among unaffiliated voters, 45% say Obama has better experience while 42% say Palin.

Fifty-eight percent (58%) of voters say that Palin’s speech helped McCain’s chances of becoming President while only 10% believe it hurt those prospects.

While Palin’s numbers are stunning today, it remains to be seen how the Alaska Governor’s numbers will hold up through the next two months. She has made a tremendous first impression, but the country will get to know her a lot better between now and November.

I wept alright.  At the fucking stupidity of so many of our good neighbours to the south.

She's riding a bounce and as more revelations about her and her family continue to seep out, hopefully she's gonna deflate.  Favourable opinions won't translate into votes for 4 more years of the last 8, anyway.  I don't think they even translate into "she's fit to serve as commander in chief."  What "favourable opinion" really means, IMHO, is that they like her.  Well, she WAS Miss Congeniality, wasn't she?

How do you explain a 86% approval rating in her home state of Alaska?
Mr Tee you never lack in opinion so please explain why she is so heavily liked by both dems and repubs in Alaska?

Could be a lotta things.  Maybe her predecessor was a disaster.    Maybe she's faking her way through and her incompetence hasn't caught up with her yet.  Maybe her life-style is popular.  Maybe she's doing a good job as Governor.  Maybe the polls were faked.  Maybe it's reverse sexism.  Maybe she brings things back home from the pork barrel.  Who the hell knows?

What I would like to know is why Kramer thinks he can tell other people how afraid they are. He doesn't know diddley about anything else, he has the political sophistication of some kid in the back row of a 7th grade homeroom.

Why does he still have to get his jollies insulting people with his ignorance and uncoothness?

For a fat know-it-all you have many unanswered questions. Well the answer to your why is because I read what people say and deduce fears from them. Both you and Mr Tee are frustrated old farts that live in a fantasy world because you never worked in the real world, only looked at it from the the outside and through a distorted textbook vision of what your programmers want to to see it. You are a couple of old liberal commies that live in the past and support a guy, Obama, that has old ideas. Obama has nothing new, no new change, just lies and deception on his real agenda. An old agenda that you two boys bought into about 45 years ago. Obama is a typical crooked Chicago mob corrupt politician and either you two morons are two stupid to see it or are happy to help him with his smoke and mirror show. Now as far as you calling me names all the time I find you to be a hypocrite. You claim I can't tell things from posts but you can about my posts what are you a mind reader? You are nothing specia old fat man. You are a gray fat old man that thinks he's an intellectual. Well my dog is more intellectual than you and does a better job of critical thinking too. You are a closed minded old bat that can't fathom the brilliance of John McCain's pick of Sarah Palin and his absolute brilliance in steeling Obama's mantra of change & reform. Obama has been reduced to standing naked in an empty suit after the Rep. Convention. McCain (last night) managed to prove that Obama is a selfish egotistical boy who has yet to tell us anything about who he is and what his core values are. McCain humanized himself last night and showed us the stark contrast between him and the vieled Obama. You old men look like a fools backing Obama the empty suit, the community organizer, the ONE, the messiah. Only a helpless ignorant moron would fall for such a shallow candidate in Obama. Your guy is a phony that will make Carter look like a good president. Palin has real experience and she is only running for VP Obama running for POTUS has less experience that Palin. Obama just proved two things last night., 1 his judgment on the surge was dead wrong and 2 his ability to admit he is wrong. Last night Obama acted like his teeth were being extracted just to get him to admit the surge worked. Obama is a very flawed and inexperienced boy and he will lose because he deserves to lose and has no business running for POTUS.

You don't know diddly-squat about anything, Kramer.

You don't know whether anyone is afraid of anything, let alone why.

I don't have the time to waste trying to read your stupid crap, let alone in red.
Nothing you have ever said has any remote connection with reality or any sort of wisdom, anyway.

Well, I think you were overly and unnecessarily flattering to Kramer in describing his political sophistication, but the thing you really need to know about Kramer is that he can read other people's minds.  One day he may describe this gift in more detail and perhaps even tell us if there is any way we can acquire it for ourselves.  So, a little respect, please.
