Lol
This forum is getting more and more bizarre the closer we come to election day.
For sure....I even deleted a topic tonight, because I have a feeling that we are all just a bit to "overwhelmed".
This is the third student in two years in my class who has lost a father to murder. This young child interrupts my core reading segment to announce that he has a sad story to tell. I listen, as do the rest of the children....he tells us that his daddy was shot and burned! last week!!!!! Oh my God. It triggers another student's memory of his uncle's suicide. I immediately call the counselor to the classroom. The little boy could have been awarded the damn medal of honor for the bravery he showed that day.
You all have no idea what it means to work with young children. For that I let my NCLB issue GO. I do. I excuse you for the very ignorance your shed; a lamp without light; a complacent mindset to the issues that we face in the classroom.
In the end, there will be more to this story of children's education and family values. But, in the end, we as a nation must step up to the plate. I commend the likes of Palin and McCain. I do. I commend the values within the Obama household, as well. Where do we stand in between? Listening to one another? hell no. We fight, bitch, argue, and win "on point".
Such is a debate group......board......club.
Revision....a wonderful element in the venue that is the debategate arena..
