Mike,

Do you recall what's been said about the president of the floor of the House of Representatives?

Come on, to argue this stuff hasn't happened is ridiculous.

Is shooting a president worse than shooting a mere candidate?

I guess we could compare what happened to Bremer vs Oswald.

He was called a terrorist and a traitor on the floor of the House?  Someone yelled, "Kill him!" from the floor of the House?

I don't think so.

I can`t describe how strange it is to read this post
many democrats for years (not on record though) has always said they are willing to kill bush sr.,jr. & reagan.
I now cannot give republicans credit for never saying the same now.
thiers even a movie about it called"the last supper"
both parties are becoming the same.

Becoming the same?  They are the same, and have been for years.  One is Coke, one is Pepsi, you may have the occasional RC Cola or store brand Cola, but in the end it's all Cola.  A bunch of self-serving assholes looking out only for themselves and the interest of the Coke or Pepsi brand and increasing its market share.

I'm not sure that politics should be consumer brands, but that's exactly what they are anymore.

I am pretty sure that no one has yelled "kill him!" about Bush or anyone else, from the floor of the House. Any civiliasn would have been arrested. Any member of Congress would have a lot of bad publicity.

They might have holered "screw him!", just as Cheney told Sen. Leahy  "go fuck yourself". This is rude, but not the same as a death threat.
