Savages, my ass.  Happens everywhere.

Prison Justice Day (Ontario)

http://www.uslaw.com/library/Criminal_Law/Medical_Neglect_Norm_Womens_Prisons.php?item=274048
Medical Neglect is the Norm in Women’s Prisons  (U.S.A.)

http://www.patrickcrusade.org/prison_abuse.htm
Supplement 1 to Prison Abuse Report (Alabama)

There are literally thousands more like them on the net.  Just google "Medical Neglect in Prison [insert name of jurisdiction here]"

If you want savage, I'd suggest you insert the names of various Southern states in your Google search.

Bullshit.  It's proof that prison brutality is a universal problem.

<<are you a sleeper cell for the former USSR?>>

That'd be fun, but no, unfortunately, I'm not and never was.  Anyway, the abuse posted in this thread happened under the "new" Russia, you know, the all-capitalist, private-enterprise paradise that came into being after the evil communist regime was overthrown.

<<this is the type of health care Obama wants for all Americans>>

He does?  He wants all Americans to be looked after by Russian prison doctors?  Can American prison doctors participate too?

I think he wants a better system, like the Canadian one, only he just doesn't have the guts to demand it.

well you see by the polls the Americans don't have his vision. We feel that it's pointless if we are losing the war on terrorism. How about we make terrorism #1 on the list of importance and health care #10 because nobody is turned away from hospitals or from seeing a doctor no matter whether they can pay but surely if the terrorists nuke a city or take a plane down the costs will be very high.

Eastern Europe is a bottomless pit of swirling madness. So many groups have oppressed, murdered, raped, pillaged, so many other groups you need a PHD in it's history to even begin to see behind the dark curtain that surrounds it.

Guess you missed the Harvard study that claims about 42,000 Americans die needlessly every year because of lack of health insurance.  Sounds like THAT should be your no. 1 problem, considering that the lack of a decent system is killing about 14 times as many Americans as died in the Sept. 11 attacks.  14 Sept. 11 attacks every year is not a No. 1 problem??

I think "terrorism" a.k.a. Holy War might be your no. 2 problem.  I also suggest it's easily fixed: stop fucking with the Arabs and they'll stop fucking with you.  Think of the money you'll save.

You're starting to catch on.  There's a lotta history there, none of it any good.  Communism put a lid on the pogroms and other ethnic violence for about 70 years, but now it's gone. Still, since most of the ass-holes want to be in NATO and/or the EU now, I think they've got some motivation to hold back the violence at least for the time being.  Barring a major depression or some other kind of catastrophe, they've still got a chance to pull themselves out of their own shit.

Lack of health insurance doesn't kill. Lack of health care might.

The Harvard study is like the The ObamaCare Bill, it misses the target by half a mile.

wait a minute health care is a shield (blue shield) and if you have it you are safe, protected, encircled by a forcefield and don't have to worry about getting ill ever -- plus do what you want, eat what you like, and live life on the edge and you will be safe & sound.

The Harvard study is like saying auto insurance lowers the number of auto accidents. I wouldn't be surprised if it is just the opposite.
