Word is, Obama got the message
« on: January 29, 2010, 05:24:30 PM »
...at least the one about moving the upcoming circus of a trial, out of NYC.  Albeit, even if its only a few miles outside.  Yea, that make it all the more valid & appropriate    ::)

Saw this blog response, and got a kick out of it, so I'm pasting it here:

People . . . please calm down; you may be looking at this "terrorist trial" controversy the wrong way. First, this is indirectly a jobs creation bill. Do you have any idea how many attorneys organizations like the ACLU will be able to hire (paid for by you) to represent these otherwise misunderstood Muslims? So what if you're paying a little more in taxes; these lawyers need work and the terrorists need the best legal representation possible. Then, there's the millions of dollars in overtime which will earned by Obama's union backers while the trial is held in NYC (this fact alone will almost guarantee every union member a six-figure pension at retirement). Think of someone besides yourself. Also, don't forget the winter gear we'll have to purchase for all NYC detainees. Then, where are your feelings? America is known as a kind and benevolent country. These terrorists have feelings. They also have friends and relatives that are not permitted to visit them in Guantanamo
