Communism vs Nazisim

Anyone care to demonstrate how one is more "honorable" than the other?  Let me pre-answer for those leftists that frequent the saloon.....their silence speaks volumes

not sure
this might be a apple and orange sort of honor

if you think about it nobody said anything bad about the work ethics of either system if anything it`s desired.

as a son of a communist (marxist actually) I see only see a man who`ll do anything for his family.

don`t know what a nazi dad would be like.

Which form of government is most prone to ask a person to include the Government in the family?

Or perhaps a more accurate question is which form of government is most prone to demand/mandate that a person include the Government in the family?

I expect a Nazi dad wouldn't be so different.

Interesting thing about Chinese communism though - it more closely resembles German National Socialism than it does Soviet style or N. Korean communism. That is, while government is a partner in large corporations, it usually isn't the sole owner, and private enterprise is also encouraged. Also, unlike most communist states, China is a relatively open society - people can pretty much leave and enter the country as they please. So, while I recognize the Chinese consider themselves communists, if I was going to classify their government, it more closely resembles fascism than communism. China, like Nazi Germany may be authoritarian, but unlike the Soviet Union or North Korea, it's not totalitarian.

That's probably a lucky thing for the Chinese. While Hitler is mostly remembered for WWII and the Holocaust, it's mostly forgotten that he also, within a few years, brought Germany from an economic ruin to the premier industrial power of Europe, if not the world (again, note the parallel with China). If not for the Nazi rocket scientists, neither the US or the Soviet Union would have had much of a space program. If Hitler had died in 1938, before he'd invaded Poland, he would probably be remembered as a great man rather than a pariah.  I've always suspected that the reason the US threw in with the Allies rather than the Axis had less to do with ideology than the fact that Germany would have been US's rival, if not it's better, as a world power if they had won the war. Even with most of Europe and the US against him, Hitler came pretty close to winning his war.

To address the question opening this thread, I'd put it this way - National Socialism actually delivered on it's goals, vastly improving conditions in Germany. Communism has never improved conditions anywhere. Take away from that what you like. If I had to make a choice between living in Nazi Germany of the Soviet Union, it's a no-brainer. I'd have picked Germany in a heartbeat.

I speak of civil, social man under law, and no other.
