<<I think it is pretty well documented that the Main part of the media , most congressmen and two out of three recent presidents are to the left of the median , I would like to know how that happens.>>

Probably because you're in Georgia surrounded by racists, homophobes, xenophobes, militarists, war-mongers and fascists and consequently have an extremely distorted view of where the average American (as opposed to the average Southerner) actually stands.

(That was a  troll, plane - - kinda.  But there's some truth to it.  You're in a conservative-rich, liberal-poor environment and it's distorted your sense of what the average American is all about.)

You are wrong about the racists , they are here , but where are they absent?

You are right about the Militarists , especially in my hometown here where EDITUSAIAFAD, or EDIMGIAFAD. I expect tho that you think of this as a bad thing , so you are still wrong.

When someone can explain to me why an army of low-achieving thugs and dropouts should be praised to the skies for their contribution to the invasions of other people's homelands thousands of miles away, for the murders of hundreds of thousands of their citizens and the maiming of even more innocents, then I'll consider your assertion that I'm "still wrong" with something other than laughter.

You are wrong about the nature of the Armed forces.

Never in history has there been a better educated Army , Navy , at all levels. Never in the world has there been a more effective fighting force ,man for man or pound for pound.

Where and when was there a more loyal , more dependable , more moral or rightious armed forces ?

<<Never in history has there been a better educated Army , Navy , at all levels. >>

Better educated, my ass.  You maybe upgraded from Grade 9 dropouts to Grade 11 dropouts, if that.  The kind of scum that tortures their prisoners was never seen in WWI, WWII, or as far as I know the Korean War.  With an all-volunteer force, you virtually began selectng for killer instinct.

<<Never in the world has there been a more effective fighting force ,man for man or pound for pound.>>

Are you out of your fucking mind?  With a monopoly on air power and the most sophisticated weapons in the world, they can't beat the Taliban in 9 years of fighting and it's only a matter of a few more years before their sorry asses are kicked out of Afghanistan by a rag-tag bunch of REAL warriors.

Let us know what you're smoking, plane, it must be outtasight.  Stick to predator drones and you'd be making more sense with those remarks.  Anyone who can talk of morality and righteousness after Abu Ghraib, Baghram Base or Guantanamo has got to have some memory-deficit problem that probably can't be fixed.

I knew that you would be unable to come up with an example.

Go ahead and try , I am confident that the potential examples will easily be shown to fall short.

The reason I can't come up with an example of a more loyal and dependable force is simply because we're inundated with news stories about the U.S. military and not much about the others.

However, I can honestly say I have no example of another army fragging its own officers as occurred in Nam, or of an officer refusing an overseas posting to a combat zone because his commander in chief allegedly doesn't have the right to hold his office.  Nor can I think of another army whose officers slaughter their own troops for religious reasons. Basically, I think I could name the Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and any Western European army as more loyal and more dependable, with the exception of the French.

As for being more moral and righteous, fuhgehddabaowdit.  Looks like a lot of them use torture and murder prisoners, Canada included, so I have to say, Fuck the whole God-damn bunch a them.  There's no way that the present wimps who command these barbarians can enforce a decent code of conduct on them, so I just hope they all get what's coming to them in a karmic kind of way, but I ain't holding my breath waiting for it.  Their enemies are even worse.

I'm not sure you grasped the parameters there, Tee.  Plane wasn't asking about any modern military forces.  He was asking in general.

Care to take another stab, or is the entire history of military warfare & its soldiers to be condemned?

What do these ponderous acronyms mean, please?

I would think just calling whatever they are "Bob" or "Fred" might be better... Neither seems to have even a good nickname.

Nothing I would attempt to spell in foliage.

I thought as much.

I am thinking that you do not know a lot about military matters , your comparisons are against an ideal , not a real.
