The first endorsement of a Republican since 1972.
This endorsement might actually matter because it is so out of the norm.

How much do you suppose that this cost the GOP?
-
I doubt that the GOP was the highest bidder.
The spending level of both sides is rediculous, with the kind of money spent by either side you could found a university , or a dozen universitys, it is just amazing that we do this.
I would say to vote contrary to the slick advertisements, but who would that leave?
The manipulation of the electorate can be disgusting ,it cant be considered as cconsultng the wisdom of the people.
It is done scientificly, and moreso every election, what the people want and need is less important then getting a win.

With 10 days to go before the 2012 election, 61 daily and 28 weekly or twice-weekly papers have endorsed Obama; 92 daily and 27 weekly newspapers have endorsed Romney.

Nothing. But it could end up being very costly to Obama. These endorsements only matter if they are a surprise. The Register endorsed Carter twice and even stuck with Mondale, but bailed on Obama? Your guy is cooked.

The Miami Herald endorsed Barack Obama and Bill Nelson, on the grounds that no one knows where Romnay stands on anything and that Connie Mack IV is a pick.
I hardly think an Iowa newspaper endorsement means Romney will win.
