This advertisement by the Wendy Davis team does level several criticisms against Greg Abbott that are barely fair , this is just typical politics.

The unsaid but kinda strongly implied "Don't vote for a cripple" message is the worst part.

Sounds like Greg Abbot is a bit of a hypocrite, doesn't it?

I do not think he is.

As a cripple should he judge in favor of every cripple that comes to his bench with a complaint?

That is all that would be required to avoid your accusation (and Wendy's) of hypocrisy.

Since you do not know the actual cases, I hardly think you can say that this guy is pure as the driven snow.

True , I wouldn't expect him to be perfection.
I don't totally agree with his opinion in the Kirby case , a company that hires another company just to slough the load of responsibility onto them is a bad thing to encourage. I would have made the responsibility shared between Kirby and the sub contractor , if Kirby couldn't investigate the background of the salesman , they still had responsibility to hire a subcontractor who really could.

So the extreme negativity of the Ad is justified?

I think the emphasis on the wheelchair is over the top and crass, might even cause blowback.

I suppose time will tell. But this ad is not a fraction as crappy as the crap that Rick Scott is spewing about Charlie Crist.

I am not a great Crist fan, but  Rick Scott has GOT to go. He is horrible.

Quote
Crist does bear some blame for what happened in the scheme, says Chuck Malkus, a Fort Lauderdale public-relations consultant and author of a book about the Rothstein scheme called “The Ultimate Ponzi.”

Malkus points out that the scheme started when Crist was Florida Attorney General, the state’s top prosecutor post. The crime, unbeknownst to the public, continued when Crist became governor in 2007.

Crist then gave Rothstein the veneer of legitimacy by tapping him for a post on a West Palm Beach-based Judicial Nominating Commission, which is in charge of recommending judges to fill vacancies.

Malkus said he couldn’t understand the strategy of the Scott campaign.

On one hand, making disputable and inflammatory statements – especially through an anonymous spokesman – can provoke more media coverage and give the ad a higher profile. But then, Malkus said, that could lead people to distrust Scott and his campaign.

“It causes more questions,” Malkus said. “They could just stick to the facts. There’s no need for exaggeration.”

   That was interesting.

The Miami Herald has labelled this libelous ad "Pants On Fire"

Scott tried to prevent thousands of Floridians from voting in 2012. I was one of them.

If someone were to shoot the SOB, I would not grieve. He is rotten to thw core, Pure Fooking EVIL!

He cut funds for education all around. He suppressed voter turnout, he cut taxes on corporations and ended the plan to save the Everglades.
Presently, he has his supposedly blind trust invested in companies that will benefit if they start drilling off the coast

How was he able to suppress voter turnout?

I have heard this other places stated as fact , but.....

    I am skeptical.

If the Trusts are truly blind , he shouldn't really even know where they are investing, but at least not control them.

I have heard that one way to make a small fortune is to put a large fortune into blind trust.

You pay no attention to anything I post.

As I said, Scott cut the hours for early voting by half. Some early voting sites that had been previously used were closed.
I have N E V E R had to wait more than 15 minutes to vote in 37 years that I have lived in Florida, EXCEPT when that asshole Scott deliberately closed the polling places and cut their hours. It was intentional, and there are recordings to prove that it was intentional.

Why would I?  You'd have to explain how, right after how you explain the change of subject, from the point being made by Plane, and echoed by nearly every organization, including leftist groups, like Mother Goose

Waiting an hour to vote in Georgia used to be very common, the early vote is very convenient.

But it is expensive, why shouldn't I prefer to have that money spent on road maintenance or something ?

What is the benefit of having people who really don't care very much , or know very much do more voting?

I think it to be luxury to vote so fast.  I've routinely had to wait over an hour before myself.  Should I be blaming the Dem controlled legislature in try to suppress my vote?      :o
