I have no idea.

I know that before Scott, voting was easy. He deliberately made it hard.

I hope he loses, he has been a shitty governor, and he will try to get drilling rigs along the coasts for his own personal profit. He was a thief when he ran an insurance company, and he is still a thief.

I know that voting has routinely had long lines & long waits, thus the ever frequent reference to decreased voter turn-out.  Per your parameters, I must assume that since Demoncrats have been in control of the legislature for such a long time, they must be trying to suppress my vote.  Right?

It has long been a plank of the Democratic platform to encourage greater turnout , not of better prepared voters , but of less prepared voters.

This entirely reverses the Democrats earlier "Jim Crow" policy of suppressing minority votes with impossible tests and silly requirements.

Thus proving that a reversal of evil can also be pretty bad.

There is no way that a political campaign will waste time on actually informing the voters as the system is currently designed.

So.....when unable to defend the indefensible.....claim everyone does it?     :o

While I can agree that many a political ad is left to really brief sound bytes, to portray the maximum amount of emotionally laden info to the most rudimentary of the electorate, the issue here has been 2 fold, the horrid, almost universally condemned ad by Davis, that you seem to be trying to defend, and the tangential lack of any proof of some illicit suppressing the vote in Florida, when lines are long all over the country, including this, one of the bluest states in the country

Answered that already....the horrid, almost universally condemned ad by Davis, that you seem to be trying to defend, and the tangential lack of any proof of some illicit suppressing the vote in Florida, when lines are long all over the country, including this, one of the bluest states in the country

Voter lines have N E V E R been long here, where I have voted for nearly 40 years in each and every election.

There are recordings of Scott PLANNING to prevent voting with his cronies.

Good for you.  They've ALWAYS been long here

Link these alledged recordings please.  Or I can cop the same meritless accusation, and claim there are recordings of various Calif Democrat legislators planning on preventing voting with their cronies

Too true.

Generally it has always been true.

It is like teaching auto salesmen about the cars they sell. They generally do not know squat, but they have memorized a shpiel, and that is all most people who buy new cars need. People who buy used cars know more about fixing cars because they have experience at it.

Politicians care about getting votes and raising money. I get three separate pleas from money from Wendy Davis every day. We are on top, keep the money coming. Disaster looms unless you send us money. We will match every dollar you send. Blah blah blah. I hope she wins, but really, I do not live in Texas. There are millions of Texas who do.

So.....just your say so on those alleged recordings, which would provide context to anything he said?  And no, I'm not going to look it up for you.  Its your bogus claim, not mine

Aaagh ,...  don't try to understand Florida, if you don't have to live there it is not worth the mental energy.

The antipathy for both candidates reflects, in part, the deepening malaise among voters around the country. But it is also a reaction to a bitter campaign awash in negative advertisements, outside groups with political agendas and seemingly bottomless reservoirs of cash.

how Scott and Crist plan to win this race that, from what we’ve seen based on polls, is winnable by either.

Low turnout is planned. It means easier manipulation of who votes. And both campaigns know who THEIR voters are.

Scott is aware that historically, in mid term elections, more republicans vote than democrats. Don’t ask me why, but it’s fact. He is counting on history to repeat itself.

Also, Scott knows that in a low turnout election money plays an even more important role. That is why the governor spent more than $75 million of his own money to assure his razor-thin win in 2010, and he has said he is willing to do it again. An endless supply of money is what the Crist campaign fears most when it comes to Scott.

From the start I’ve also considered the chance of a Crist victory based on turnout. And it looks like it’s how his camp has organized his road to a possible victory. It’s just that it’s not exactly how I envisioned it. Crist is depending on a low turnout vote. The trick is to bring out more of his voters than Scott’s – in spite of Gov. Scott’s unending cash flow.

Crist, a former republican, seems to have taken a page out of the Karl Rove playbook. Remember Rove? He who made wedge issues in campaigns a pathway to victory…

It is not by coincidence that Amendment 2 is on the ballot in November. The amendment...

Private prisons are a really, really bad idea, They should all be shut down and taken over by the State.
Scott wants to run Florida like a corporation. HIS Corporation.

I do not want to live in Rick Scott's corporation.
