Iran nuclear

None of the deals offered to Iran for processing or providing Nuclear fuel to them were ever taken seriously in the halls of power in Iran , every negotiation has been for the purpose of delay.

Is there a point at which the destruction of Iran's Nuclear power ceases being an option and becomes an imperative?

In Iran obviously they think that their destruction ceases being an option when they have the bomb and it then becomes an impossibility, they seem to be ignoring how narrowly we avoided destroying the planet in the contest with the Soviet Union. If they were capable of sober and clear thought I don't think they would want atomic bombs.

If ANY country that has them were capable of sober thought, they should not want them, either.

The US military wants nukes because they realize that the US could never win any land war in Asia against China without using nukes. We have been defeated in Asia once, and certainly neither Iraq nor Afghanistan shows any promise of victory in that either nation will vote with the US and Israel on any local issues in the UN.

Iran feels threatened by the US. And this is perfectly logical, as the US has armies on countries bordering both the east and west borders. The US has overthrown Iran's elected government once before, and many US leaders want to do it again. The only thing preventing this is that Iran has a population of 77 million.

Exactly how close the US has actually come to nuclear war is not clear. I don't think there was ever much of a threat.

Ironically, the closest we came to a nuclear war was after the cold war ended. In the early 1990's a reseach rocket launched by the Norweigans was misidentified by the Russians as a US Trident ballistic missile. Boris Yeltisn actually had his missile launch codes in his hands before the error was discovered.
