<<So Michael...whats Turkey really going to do if Israel attacks Iran & within hours has dropped multiple tactical
nuclear bombs on Iran's military facilities? Is Turkey with the Iranian military in ashes really gonna be excited to
run and jump in the "fun"?.....LOL....Yeah sure.>>
You're making a couple of huge assumptions, CU4. Firstly that Israel is going to be able to "drop multiple tactical nuclear bombs" on Iran's military facilities. Not all the planes will get through to their targets and not all the missiles will hit them. Not all missiles and bombs that hit their targets may explode. Not all the targets may be as vulnerable to the "tactical nuclear bombs" as you seem to think they are. Some are dug deep into mountains or under ground. Not all of Iran's nuclear sites may even be known to the Israelis. The Iranian military, also, is not likely to be gathered out in the open with large signs posted over them saying, "Here I am! Bomb here!" Once Israel chooses to use tactical nukes, it had better be 1,000% sure of a total knock-out because at that point the gloves will be off - - any residual nuclear strike power will be used unsparingly on Israel. Given the tiny size of the country, hits anywhere will be disastrous. There is no question in anyone's mind that a successful nuclear attack on Israel will mean the end of Israel.
What is Turkey going to do if Israel attacks Iran? At this point, probably nothing. After a few more insults and crimes against Turkey and more Turkish nationals killed, they may be primed to go off and Iran may be just the trigger. What is Turkey going to do if they escort a second flotilla with the Turkish Navy in international waters and the Israelis attack? They will shoot back. THAT I can guarantee. Turkey is a NATO member and an attack on the Turkish navy or on ships protected by the Turkish Navy in international waters gives them Treaty rights to call on a mutual NATO defence. Either NATO nations will have to honour their treaty obligations to Turkey as a member state or the whole organization will fall apart.
<<40/60 Assad would commit suicide....he might....but I really doubt it.
<<You claim Assad would attack Israel if Iran was attacked....mostly laughable.
<<Assad is a cagey...poker player...he is not someone I would want to depend on if I were Iran.
<<Michael Syria didnt even attack when Israel blew up the Syrian nuclear facilty in September 2007>>
It's different after Israel attacked Turkey and would be still more different if Israe were attacking Syria and/or Iran as well. The presence of other nations in a hot war with Israel is an emboldening factor to other hostile states, who would obviously feel that whatever chances they'd otherwise have of besting Israel would be seriously diminished if Israel gets away with elminating one enemy after another. Iraq is already gone. If Iran goes next, then Turkey . . . what chance for Syria then if it does not give in to newer, harder Israeli demands???
<<Yeah we saw how big and bad Syria was didnt we?>>
Syria was isolated then, but at least neither Turkey nor Iran was then facing U.S. or Israeli aggression. Once one of them is under Israeli attack, the equation starts to change rapidly for Syria.
