Sterling is certainly not a nice guy, but it is also true that what he said was no illegal, and that he was taped without his knowledge and his silly conversation was broadcast without his permission. He was not under oath, and if what he said had been illegal, he still could never have been convicted of it, because evidence collected without a warrant is inadmissible in any court of law in this country.
Of course, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John would also be inadmissible because they were hearsay.
